Visited two mornings for breakfast. Enjoyed the smoked salmon, cream cheese and advocado crossaint. Lovely lady served us and remembered us from the day before. Clean and friendly. A little pricey but hey, it is The heart of Covent Garden

We had a very pleasant lunch here. As a former hotel executive, I am highly critical when I eat out, this was a good meal. The wine was good. The fillet de boeuf was good. A couple of constructive criticisms. The waitress who served me initially advised me (of the beef) that "it either comes medium or medium rare, you... More

I have visited the Aubaine in Wimbledon a number of times and have always been really impressed with the quality of food and service. Today I visited the Heddon Street Aubaine for the first time and I left extremely unsatisfied. I have given two stars purely because the food was tasty. The visit started with us being seated outside and... More

Not a place I would rush back to and whilst lunch was OK in the main it was expensive for what it was. A rather indifferent and over-cooked 'Aubaine burger au filet de boeuf' (£18), although my burrata starter was good, if poorly presented (£10). A limited wine list too, although the Picpoul de Pinet we had was good. Overall... More

Wooed by the reviews on another site and tempted by the prix fixe lunch offer, by oldest girlfriend and I had a late lunch here. There was good reason for the restaurant to be almost empty for the entire 3 hours that we were there. The food was tasteless and the main course minute. Even together our two gnocchi would... More

Had dinner here. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Sat outside which was great because you can sit and watch the world go by. Very pleasant. Had the salad nicoise and friends had the burger. We also had desserts which were good too. Would go back.

Ordered from the specials board, meal and drinks arrived in acceptable time, waitress was polite, food was as described on board. No fireworks, but it was just a quick meal we needed.

Had lunch here on a Monday afternoon, ordered the Gamas which came with risotto, along with a Caesar salad and white wine. Everything was perfect.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
