dropped in with the girls late afternoon and all we wanted was a nice coffee and a little cake! came upon Aubaine, a french restaurant/cafe bar. very pretty and nicely set on the corner of the street. we had coffee and cakes (not much choice for gluten free), but what i had was ok, nice place though. service ok, pricey.

Had brunch here with my friends. Enjoyed their grilled salmon which was cooked to perfection. They also have great brunch options too.

We chose this restaurant because of it's proximity to the place where a concert was to be held. We go to the concert every year but we won't be returning to this eating place. We chose from the 'festive' menu, supposedly cheaper than the a la carte one. I started with lobster bisque which was pink and nicely creamy but... More

Nice atmosphere. My partner and I went here for lunch. I had the soup de jour and he had the steak. Both were very nice and cooked well.

My guest had booked us in here. I knew I was coming to a chain, so wasn't expecting much. But it really wasn't good. The food was mediocre at best. We'd come on the set menu at £16 for 2 courses. Considering what I've eaten at those prices, if you read my other reviews, you'll know that, that money can... More

I had a nice lunch few weeks ago with a couple of friends. The food was really tasty and well served on plate. We didn't wait to long and the atmosphere was great. I must spend few words for a young member of the staff, Mario. He was the perfect example of a cordial and prompt service. Always ready to... More

Visited two mornings for breakfast. Enjoyed the smoked salmon, cream cheese and advocado crossaint. Lovely lady served us and remembered us from the day before. Clean and friendly. A little pricey but hey, it is The heart of Covent Garden

We had a very pleasant lunch here. As a former hotel executive, I am highly critical when I eat out, this was a good meal. The wine was good. The fillet de boeuf was good. A couple of constructive criticisms. The waitress who served me initially advised me (of the beef) that "it either comes medium or medium rare, you... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
