Went here for lunch with a few friends from the office. There were no other diners when we arrived. It took a long time to get our order taken, food served and to pay the bill and had to ask several times to place a drinks order. Paid £17 for a tiny piece of bread, a square of lukewarm bland... Myself and my fiancé couldn't wait for La Dolce Vita to reopen after their summer holidays! We enjoy visiting this restaurant frequently and we are never disappointed! The portion sizes are very generous and meals are full of flavour! My fiancé enjoys their grilled fish dishes whilst I enjoy great plates of pasta with meaty sauces! We continue to recommend... Like a previous reviewer, we ordered the garlic pizza bread, and just got standard bread slices and flavoured oil. No hint of pizza! I had sardines, pleasant enough. For mains my son had chicken breast (very tender) with mushrooms, and I was steered onto grilled sea bream. A plate of carrot slices, green beans and lacklustre fried potatoes also arrived.... More

Went for evening meal at 7 pm with my wife nice greeting then had to wait 15 minutes for a menu!!! There were only 2 other people in the restaurant the bill was £25 more than it should have been and eventually this was sorted then they added 10% on to the bill I take it as a service charge.... Didn't know this existed until recently. Like many things in life you get what you pay for and we paid a reasonable price for a lovely meal - fresh, great ingredients and served with passion. Best affogato I've every had outside of Italy!

I struggle to understand how this restaurant has managed to keep it's doors open. The menu itself is fine but beware you will be ripped off! We were charged for bread we didn't order and didn't get £4. We were also charged for side veg which was not ordered and not delivered £7. On top of that there was a... More

Went here for lunch, average pasta, average service but very expensive. 'Can of Coke £2.90' 'but I had the water...' 'Yes, that's £2.90 as well' (for a Costco 10p bottle of water...) Mandatory service charge added, and a charge for bread, again disappointing. I wondered why we were the only ones in the restaurant, now I know why. We won't... More

As Michael Caine says in the classic Italian Job film. Italian restaurants are easy to find but not ones that serve food this good. The calamari starter was the best calamari I have tasted, better than what Spain could offer.... I was advised to choose the spaghetti with"manzo", a type of tiny but nicely cut beef, instead of my traditional... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and welcome. Dishes were freshly prepared and plentiful and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The only downside was the size of the bill when it arrived. It certainly exceeded my calculations and appeared to include a compulsory service charge.
