Just like Chinese restaurants used to be like in the 70s. Nothing appears to have changed which, in some ways, may be a good thing if you're after nostalgia which suited us fine. We were sent upstairs to a rather dreary room, but as others have mentioned, the food was absolutely fine, and with doggy bags we were set for... More

Great no-fuss Gerard Street place. Really brilliant duck pancakes and drinkable house wine. Stays open late.

We came almost by chance and found it to be very good. Although it is not very pretty the food is very good and prices are ok.

Food is average and all staff members were so awful, very rude asking for more orders, with condescending comments and NO smile.

One of the good things about this Chinese restaurant is not the fact that it is located on Chinatown's main thoroughfare (a short walk away from Leicester Square tube station) but that it offers a wide range of dishes suitable for any type of customer, whether they are meat, seafood, rice or vegetarian. When I went with my sister, I... More

We were drawn to the large "Crispy Duck" sign and call this place the "Crispy Duck Restaurant" on Gerrard Street. A big plus - much friendlier waiters, and delicious pork ribs and veggie soup that's served at the start of the meal, free of charge! The Peking duck was lovely and is highly recommended. We tried a new fried bean... More

Many times we have been here for dim sum and recommended to lots of our friends unfortunately we were disappointed with the standard, service and generally poor quality of the dim sum today. We will not be returning nor will we be recommending to others anymore. Such a shame!!!!!!!

After we were seated another table became available and they offered to us as they thought it was a better table (we were by the door at first, on a nice table too). It was so very thoughtful. We ordered half peking duck and I am drooling just thinking about it. This restaurant is a best kept secret! Great attentive... More

We were 10 of us from Macau-China, as you may know, from where we came we do expect high quality of chinese food or, not minimum of good quality. At first night we random choose this restaurant due to delicious looking of roast duck on front window. The expectation was fulfilled, we order roast pig, honey roast pork and roast... More

Met friends for a dim sum lunch on Saturday. Although the place looked busy from outside, they easily accommodated 10 of us, no problems. The selection of dim sum is pretty standard but they were well presented and the service we received was friendly and helpful which makes a good change. Pleased with my first visit.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
