I have been here numerous times as I only work around the corner and always enjoyed every visit. This is such a beautiful place to have a cosy drink when it is cold outside and is steeped in history. They serve really basic pub food...More

Fun Fun Fun. Didn't eat here but stopped by for a pint and wine. Pub dates back to 1500's where Queen Elizabeth is said to have once come and danced around a Cherry Tree in the Court Yard. Narrow Alley's to find this hidden gem....More

A business friend suggested going for a proper drink to a proper pub rather than some over priced London bar filled with bankers. Blink and you'd miss the alley you have to walk through to find this really wonderful - but very small - pub....More

Check out the history of this pub and soak up the atmosphere. A fantastic pint of "Pride" is to be had here. It is easy to miss the entrance to the alley, so look out, you don't want too miss this jewel.

(It seems the Mitre is duplicated on here as an "attraction" or as a "restaurant", but not in its principal guise as a pub. Very odd.) Ye Olde Mitre quite reasonably claims to be London's oldest standing pub. It is also one of London's smallest,...More

If you're a fan of visiting historic pubs, this one should be at the top of your list. It's tucked away down a small alley and it would be easy for some to miss the place. Such a lovely pub with friendly staff. A nice...More

Saw their sign on the street and got curious so we went in through the narrow passageway and found this pearl of history. Very nice service and customers. We stranded there and forgot all about the rest of our afternoon plans

I stumbled across this place whilst working in London and what a find. Lovely old pub tucked away down a narrow corridor. Great real ales and lovely homemade bar snacks. I got there about 3.30 on a Friday and it was fairly empty but was...More

This place is proper - authentic pub, good beer (wish they did Black Sheep) well kept - lots of little seating places (only reason not excellent is it is sometimes difficult to find a seat) good service and proper pub food - pies, sausages, scotch...More

This pub can get very busy as it is popular with office workers winding down after a hard day. Good beers and friendly service.

Inner London’s busiest streets crisscross quiet
cobbled lanes for an effect that can be urbane or
quaint – or an intriguing blend of both – depending on
the particular corner you turn. Due to its especially
convenient location, bustling Holborn hosts an
excellent range of hotels, eateries, and shops to suit
practically any taste or budget. With major
attractions like the British Museum and Somerset House

There are tiny side rooms but it is such a small pub you are never far from the bar. Because it is small it gets very crowded too. I would check direct.

I've only been here for a drink, but believe the bar snacks are excellent. Not a full restaurant menu, as far as I know, and being in the City of London, they're only open Monday - Friday, not weekends, ; )

The Ye Olde Mitre in Hatton Garden has been featured in a couple of legendary blockbusters. The Ye Olde Mitre takes traditional pub-keeping seriously, with a wealth of real ales on tap, great home-made bar snacks, and a friendly team behind the bar.
