I've been here a couple of times and I don't think I'll back again. Food not great and the service quite poor

Visited on Mother's Day so a treat of a glass of prosecco and a choc for the mum in a nice relaxed cafe/restaurant. The Brunch menu had a good varied list and I enjoyed a cooked breakfast etc. and my wife had the Eggs Benedict. They were served up by friendly staff and the coffee was excellent too! (We returned... Walking by you would not necessarily know that there is a restaurant there. It looks a bit like a workman cafe from the outside, or an old lady tea/cake shop. But once inside the main room is a the back and its another world, packed with young patrons. I really enjoyed the food, the services which was attentive and the... More

The Putney Canteen is a gorgeous, rustic place, part café, part restaurant, part neighbourhood meeting spot. The staff is very friendly and all food, including the fantastic looking cakes and pastries, are made on the premises. The menu ranges from snacks to full meals and there is an extensive children's menu. They are very child friendly at the Putney Canteen... More

Great looking venue with really friendly staff. The menu also looks good with a great selection of dishes. I went for the Asian bowl but couldn't really pinpoint why it was called this - it was more like a sloppy, flavourless risotto made from poor quality, gristly chicken with under-cooked eggs on top; not good. Also the coffee was extremely... More

We went there for a quick Saturday evening dinner. The place was quite empty, which did not look good. Although we were not really early, more people started to come in later. We had the cheese starter, followed by vegetarian & chicken fajitas. The food was really OK, not refined, but tasted good. While the food was reasonably priced, the... More

Probably the best brunch in the area. Plenty of delicious things on the menu. Baby friendly as we were a group of six couples all with babies and pushchairs. Very accommodating restaurant.

A group of us went mid-week for a work reunion. Cocktails were two for one and the set menu, any two courses from the regular menu, was great value. Being a group there was lots a fafffing around before ordering but the staff were a picture of patience. Would definitely recommend.

Well, my expectations were quite high considering the hype around this place. I ordered Eggs Royale- fine overall, nothing special, bread was rock hard though. Staff, even though courteous, was shouting/talking in Polish- swearing a lot and commenting on customers. As I speak the language, it was not a nice experience.
