We attended the Ideal Home Exhibition in March 2017, and stopped for a cold drink and cake at this bakery. I ordered a bottle of water, a bottle of juice and slice of cake. It cost me £9.50 which I feel is quite expensive. The cake was very nice but was just given to me in a cardboard holder. I... More

Delicious breakfast in perfect surroundings and fantastic value for money. I had Maple Bacon on French Toast and Marcus had streaky bacon with scrambled egg on toast. Perfection.

Exceptional bread varieties. Rather relaxing place for a Sunday breakfast/brunch as well. Coffee pretty decent. Will definitely visit again

The customer service has dramatically changed from a few months ago. Staff are rude and don't care about customers. There was an issue with one of our drinks and instead of an apology we received a smirky look. I live close by but think I'll go elsewhere for a while!

They forgot my order, then demanded to see my receipt to prove it, then delivered both courses together and managed to forget one of my sides...

I tried to eat here around midday for brunch. The food here looks amazing, and I'd been keen to try it as I've just moved in to an apartment opposite the market. When I walked in it was not clear if they did table service or if you had to order at the counter. I really wanted to eat in.... More

The coffee is exceptional, thanks to the lovely baristas. Quality of the cakes and hot food is also amazing. Lovely atmosphere, will always pop in when I'm around in Angel.

An impressive selection of freshly baked breads and snacks to eat in or take away. The decor is simple, with a relaxed ambience. Very busy when we visited early afternoon for coffees and snacks, which must tell you something. We couldn't resist leaving without bringing home a few (absolutely amazingly tasty) fresh loaves.

All the freshly baked food was absolutely delightful. The only problem was there was too much choice and I couldn't have it all. Will have to go back here! Sausage rolls were probably the best of all, but the cakes were good too. It looked good from outside, and then inside, and the food and service didn't let it down... More

We dropped in here at 14:30 on a Sunday, hoping for a snack and a coffee. The food looks lovely. There's a delicious-looking stack of savoury muffins, scones, tarts just at the entrance. There was fresh bread and we chose a couple of loaves as well as selecting our food. Then we tried to get served. There was one person... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
