This place is amazing on three fronts. The fact its up in the clouds is fairly unique and also a good novelty, then the bar has great staff and great cocktails. then the restaurant is well set with great food.

The great atmosphere of the thirty-eighth floor makes it really special. Very nice spot and an attractive interior design, good quality sushi though not amazing. what really affected my positive assessment was the staff: kind and professional, especially Ambra. We had to wait longer than expected for our dining table and she took care of us kindness, minding our waiting-aperitive... More

As a food and travel blogger, I've been to quite a few sushi restaurants in Europe and I have to say after experiencing Sushi Samba in London I am Surprise for the first time yesterday. I think I've found my favourite restaurant. The quality is exceptional especially when you consider the affordable price. If you're a new customer they offer... More

We had a dinner at this great place during the week. Firstly, the glass elevator ride to the top of the Herron Tower is a real buzz. Secondly, once there the experience is just wonderful. Having a drink on the terrace provides great views all over London is a real talking point. We had a table of eight that was... More

So lucky to have been taken out for lunch here by my husband. 38th floor not for those suffering from vertigo but ask for the table away from the windows and you might be alright. So, first time sushi and what a meal! Great flavours and as I am not a great meat or fish eater I came away with... More

The entrance was very dramatic and promising. Everything was ment to overwhelm you: The glass elevator, the tree on the balcony, the lights - absolutly everything was great. The service was good. The food was unique, accurate and tasty. Dishes were of the right size letting enjoy several dishes.

I'm entirely convinced that this fusion of food came from the mind of an evil genius who is currently plotting something in a diabolical laboratory on a secret island under a volcano. That being said, if he wants world domination then I'm happy to give it to him provided he keeps cooking this way. I commented to my companion last... More

We got a table in Sushisamba at the last moment via the concierge at our hotel, as we were not able to get a reservation by ourselves - booked out! Luckily he knew the reservations manager of SUSHISAMBA and we got the best table in the whole restaurant - we had the most amazing view over East and Central London.... More

I went here for the awesome view. We went on a Saturday night, but didn't have to wait for too long to go in. It was really busy, so we stayed outside for a while and found 4 places inside afterwards, 'cause it was quite cold outside. We only had some cocktails, did not try the food, but enjoyed the... Close to the clouds in a wounderful setting you'll get a great fusion of Peru and Japan with a modern international touch. We went for a mixed lunch with starters, main courses and sushi. An absolute gem was the shrimp in the small plates section!

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
