There’s something special about this pub. Nothing fancy, but an old school boozer with surprisingly good food. Go if you want a pint but are bored of the fake and up scale places in central London.

I was a regular in The Ship decades ago - it was the watering hole of choice before gigs at The Marquee Club up the road. Popped in for a brief business meeting and delighted that any changes are for the better. The bar is...More

Early 77 punk and trash metal. Although hard to hear, as the place was fully packed and the noice level was rather high.

A pub without a lot of turists. Beautiful place, nice and helpful staff, especially the brazilian guy, who helped me with Wi-Fi.

Stopped over in Piccadilly for a show and wanted a normal drink. Lots of fancy & over priced bars to choose from but wanted a normal bar. Found the Ship and had a great evening. Wonderful bar staff, one even had magic tricks to share!...More

In London today on business. Happened upon The Ship. Good and friendly service. Good beer and even better food. The salt beef sandwich was lovely and great value at less than £6. Will definitely be returning when next in London.

The Ship used to be a great rock'n'roll pub. The bands and the audience from the Marquee, which used to be almost next door, would come here to drink before a show. You still get a few older punks coming in when there's a gig...More
