This restaurant is over 200 years old. We ordered fish and chips, beef sandwich and beef burger. All were delicious. Staff are polite and pleasant.

Nice gastro pub tucked away near Blackfriars. Food was well cooked & presented and backed up by friendly & attentive service. We had the fish & chips and haddock kegeree which were excellent.

Very welcoming pub, great ambience with architectural features retained, we originally booked for 10 people and it grew to 14 on the night, all no problem to the staff who provided excellent service and made us all feel at home, no long waits for food...and always attentive to our drinks requirements. Varied menu suited all tastes.More

Come here alot after work. staff are amazing and we always have a great time. Food is great too and the seats out the front are great if you can manage to bag them early.

Working round the corner, I went for the first time for lunch with colleagues the other day. The upstairs dining room is really delightful! A very elegantly kitted out room, looks much posher than I would have expected for such a pub. And the food...was fine. It’s pub-ish grub - burgers, salads, fish and chips, steaks - but nice enough to take people. I had a very nice hot smoked salmon nicoise and triple cooked chips.More

Good service, good pub food (not code for average food) and good beer choices. I'd definitely go again if in the area

Interesting building with lots of character. The menu has a number of good lunch options including fish and chips, steak sandwiches and a few options for vegetarians. Service was a bit slow but we had a large group...gave us time to enjoy a few beers!

Had gone to London to plot a walk around pubs with some friends later - on a Saturday. Popped into this pub, quite spacious clean and tidy, but told me it's not open on Saturdays. Had a nice beer, & moved on.
