We visited with friends on a busy Saturday night and sat outside. Greeted by a quirky & friendly dark haired gentleman who took our order. A tab was opened with ease and offer to hold a debit card was refused which was a nice touch....The cocktails were amazing and although our food took a while to arrive we were offered apologies on arrival. Amazing night.More

Came today. Drinks and bar snacks. Being exempt from wearing mask. Do not expect to be intimated by arrogant 'waiter' when asking to use facilities after telling them I'm prepared to cover face with my shirt. When i eventually was allowed to use facilities after...an interrogation. To see their chef leaving toilet and sinks were dry. Their chef not washed his hands. Hypocrisy beyond belief. Disgusting!!! Never eat here. In fact never give my money to this place. People should think about this before ordering food. Revolting. Obviously will never return nor recommend this awful 'restaurant' . Seriously disgusting lack of customer service , arguing in front of other customers. Serious training needed here. Know your customers, know customer service in the service industry. Not happy!!! You don't need my money . You don't deserve customers paying your wages.More

I'm not sure why I've never used it. Always went to the Northcote. Pretty sure I went in there some time ago and it was average. I have now used it 4 times in a month. Some quick research makes me think Fuller's took it...over in May 2019 or at least there was a substantial refurb then. So most negative reviews on TripAdvisor seem to be prior to this. Apart from them having the best air conditioning in London and extremely friendly staff.  There are two things that caught my attention to give them a recommendation. Firstly The Northcote Road on the weekend is pedestrianised. And when the sun is shining extremely busy. This pub is happy to manage their tables to let people sit on reserved tables before the people that reserved it arrive. You might think that this is standard but actually quite unusual.  Naming no names but I've written about this before. Secondly The food here is exceptionally good. Clearly fresh with a competent brigade. Very well priced and giving the customer what they want... an all day brunch menu for example. Cracking burger and fab Caesar salad. A great quality indicator is the squid. Extremely well cooked and appears to have had its skin removed.... unusual. Covid procedure dealt with very well. You don't have to download an app while the bartenders stand around. You are looked after! I would suggest it lends itself to eating during the day and drinking during the evening.More

We visit fairly frequently for drinks, as a couple or with friends. The service has always been great and attentive!

The venue itself is lovely, especially if you're able to sit outside on the little terrace on Northcote Road. The food is also delicious and looked great, but could be slightly more generous portion size. In terms of service, we had some great waiters (shout...out to Frankie) who were lovely and chatty, and willing to help with some awkward dietary requirments. However there were also some waitors who seemed to not know what was going on or have much of an idea about table service. If you go - try to ask for Frankie :DMore

Excellent service. Food came quickly and was pretty good. Good value for money. However there are limited options for vegetarians or vegans.

Although the surroundings are attractive the service was lacking with staff responding to gestures from the table for more drinks, etc but not doing so on their own initiative. The gf options were limited for the small plates and mains and there was no gf...dessert option at all - very disappointing for the celiac in our party. We have had breakfast here several times but felt the dinner service and menu did not match the breakfast experience.More

I had a lovely New Years Eve. My new favourite place in Clapham Junction. Great service and cocktails.

A friend and I were catching up after a while and it being mid afternoon the cafes on Northcote road were jammed...so we had to resort to a bar (shame!!). We were delighted to stumble on The Old Bank. Despite the fact that there were...few people in there (meaning we could have a beautiful booth even though it was just 2 of us) it didn’t feel “empty” and the sort of place that needs a crowd to enjoy. It almost feels like a bar of a boutique hotel. We very much enjoyed a drink there and they were dressing a table for a Christmas dinner and the table setting was spectacular. Lovely place for a drinkMore
