This is a long overdue review of a visit during the Eat Out campaign in August. We had made a booking, just as well as the Thai Kitchen restaurant which is located on the first floor, above the pub, was full to capacity. We were...seated in a side room, possibly a function room - a lot quieter and not much atmosphere, but with much better scope for social distancing. The restaurant is run by a Thai chef and his family, and it shows. The menu featured all the Thai favourites. Because the kitchen was extremely busy and short staffed the waitress had to ask if they could make som tum for us. They did, and I can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever had (including in Thailand), properly made with the addition of cabbage leaves, crisp green beans and a fabulous dressing, simultaneously hot, tart and a bit sweet. The stir fried veggies and the Panang curry with tofu were also excellent. I don't often order Pad Thai, but they do a few variations of this dish and I couldn't resist the very spicy Crystal version, wonderful! Four plates are normally too much for us, but we devoured the lot, it was so tasty. Service from an older lady was professional, maybe a bit brisk but still very polite and kind. Before the Eat Out discount our bill with a couple of beers was a very reasonable GBP42 (before tip). We hadn't been to this place for years. All those great meals we've missed out on! We will definitely be back more regularly when restaurants are open again and it's safe to go.More

Wish we had gone sooner! We had our last meal before doing our own personal 2 week quarantine before Christmas (8/12/2020). The food was absolutely amazing, the prawn tempuras were delicious and so much prawn! We also had the chicken pad Thai, as good as...when I had it in Bangkok, the prawn sigapore noodles, again had the split the prawns in half, they were so big! And the roast duck that came on a beautiful hot plate, and was so tender!! The staff were really friendly and served us very professionally! Such a selection of food, we struggled to pick and so affordable too, we wanted to go out with a bang, so ordered more than we would have, but finished it all!! Can't wait to go back after Christmas!!More

We visited for the excellent Thai restaurant upstairs and found the food wonderful and great value. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating and the setting was nicely designed/decorated with tasteful lighting, mirrors and... elephants!

Four of us had drinks and a meal yesterday, really enjoyed our evening out. Thai food is always fresh and delicious, one of my favourite lagers is on tap (Asahi) and the manager was very welcoming and friendly whilst still keeping to covid regulations. Can't...fault it and will certainly come again!More

Great little pub with good outside seating. Ate lunch there during a quiet midweek day,and had a chicken pad Thai which was enjoyable, service was good and this Fullers pub is smart and well presented Worth trying if you’re in the area!

Visited on the 17th with my husband for a rare drink away from the duties of parenthood and couldn't have had a nicer time. The draught beers were great and vanessa was particularly lovely and helpful. Will definitely come again!

Miserable staff and awful service !! As we entered the pub, the assistant manager with glasses started barking orders about COVID process and direction in and out.... we ordered our food and drinks to a miserable bar staff who clearly did not want to be...there and felt like he was doing us a favour rather than the other way around. The food was mediocre and had no real flavour as per any real authentic asian restaurant... an insult to Thai food to be honest. The assistant manager with glasses was overall running the business like an army camp, 0 people skills. Terrible experience and for the businesses that do not survive post the COVID era... it’s your service that will be your down fall. Awful experience overallMore
