Perfect after work haunt with work colleagues. Not a place I'd go expressly for a night out. It's a great place for a quick bite on the way home. Good food, good prices, simple as that. Another plus would be the location it is quite hidden which makes it less touristy and more local.

On a recent trip to London we called in The White Hart for a much welcomed drink. The service was good, we didn't eat but the menu looked nice & had something for everyone. The only downside was it didn't have an outside area to relax on the hot sunny day.

This is a nice pub that is away from the touristy pubs around Waterloo. The beer is good and there is a decent selection to choose from. I have enjoyed a couple of meals here when I can get a table. The pub is very busy and unfortunately it gets really noisy.

We visited for Sunday lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. Between us we had starters of squid, scallops and chicken wings. All of which were delicious. We then had roast chicken, lamb and beef. These were all generously sized and were very tasty, served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables. Unfortunately we did not have time, or the capacity... More

We found this lovely little pub on our way to 'Art of the brick'. We were greeted with a warm welcome, the atmosphere was friendly. We had a look at the various menus, all the food sounded good. We opted for the full English. My partner asked to swap a couple of ingredients and this was no trouble. The food... More

Popped in here for a bite to eat and a drink before going to an event on South Bank. Had the full English from the brunch menu. Asked if I could swap tomatoes for a potato rosti from the vegetarian breakfast, and it was not a problem for them. Excellent value as portion size was generous. Was nosy at what... More

Description
Waterloo's quaintest backstreet pub.Tucked away from the well-trodden streets of Waterloo, The White Hart may be pint-sized in stature but it more than makes up for it with personality. Surrounded by some of London's oldest workers' cottages, the pub is a nostalgic nod to the old South Bank before it was invaded by tourists seeking cultural enlightenment. Take a seat in a snug, candlelit corner and savour a lovingly poured pint of cask ale and soak up the unique atmosphere of a proper London pub. We are open 7 days a week 364 days a year. Sunday & Monday 12.00 - 23.00 Tuesday to Saturday 12.00 - 00.00.
