What can I say that hasn't been said. Amazing food from an amazing chef. Service was impeccable, too. Ate here twice over our holiday, it was that good. We normally don't eat the same cuisine twice on holiday if we can help it, but this was by choice. Beautifully prepared and presented. Will be back the next holiday!

We went for an early evening meal. It is a beautiful old pub and we were shown to a table in the spacious restaurant at the back.
I had the prawn pad nam prick pao which was spicy 🌶️ but you could tell it was freshly cooked with great ingredients. I washed it down with a pint of Pride and a pint of Dark Star Hophead. Both were in good condition and went well with the food.
Service was friendly and prompt.
I would highly recommend.

Best Thai food I have ver had. I haven't been to Thailand yet but my friends who have, said the food here is better than there.
Just thinking about their pad Thai and Khao Pad makes my mouth so watery 😋😋
I can here so often that I've become friends with the staff, who are always lovely and super kind!
OPH is the first place I'm going once lockdown is lifted!

I came here after work with colleagues and I had ordered two beers directly from the bar with some food. In the middle of eating, I went to get myself and my colleagues another round of drinks and they refused to serve me because I did not have my ID even though they had already served me two beers. When I told the manager this, she said that that was their mistake and I should have not been served, that she did not personally serve me and she will personally make sure that I will no longer get served in their establishment and threatened to kick me out. I mentioned if this was such an issue they should have not served me in the first place as I was now already drinking their beer, all she could say was that she could kick me out for this. I expect better service from an establishment than to treat paying customers in such a way. Her attitude was unforgiving and she even refused to give me her name. As I don’t know her name I can’t make a complaint however she had red hair. It’s a shame especially when having work drinks with colleagues to be treated in a such a demeaning manner. I do not recommend anyone that is 30 or under (I am 27) to come into such an establishment if you don’t have ID even though I work in the area and has not been a problem with any other pub on the same street.

I just stopped here for lunch after noticing a promo board for their Thai Kitchen. inside the pub is surprisingly large and the décor quite inviting. I walked around until finding the restaurant area. Approaching two members of the staff I soon found out it was just the décor that was inviting. I sat down and ordered although my instincts were telling me to leave. Of course, I should have listened. The food, although not bad, was just not memorable or credit worthy and the portion size skimpy for the cost. The service was better when I arose to pay and leave. I will not be returning.

We visited the pub as it is well known for its excellent food and great choice of beers. In fact, we visited twice in a weekend. I am afraid that we will not be revisiting, as their security staff are aggressive and their waiting staff extremely rude. My other half put her feet on the bench in the outside space, where we were sitting, and the security man, who may have been right to approach us, grabbed her by the arm to say ‘we have a rule that feet do not go on the bench. I will throw you out; do you understand?’ My girlfriend was caught by such surprise, yet apologised immediately. On the second occasion, we were also sitting outside having a drink. It was very hot as the table was in the sun and the table next to us emptied. So, we simply moved to the shade. One of the waiting staff run outside and literally shouted at us ‘If you want to move you have to let us know; you can’t just move’. His manner was aggressive and rude. We understand that places currently have rules (the first of which is not actually in place as we were informed by the manager). However, these guys are in customer services and have no clue as to how to actually speak to customers. Being polite and considerate is the first rule of running such an establishment, which really needs to pick those delivering service better. To add to it, none of them wore masks, as they need to according to current national guidance.

Hi Billy. We really appreciate you taking the time to tell us about the way the security team member spoke to you. We informed you that we found that completely unacceptable, apologised and told you we will not have him back here again. We contract our security to a company so do not select our team - we get sent self employed people. As we told you, he will not be returning to our venue after what you informed us so I am a bit hurt that you still felt the need to penalise us for this.
As I'm sure most pubs do at the moment, we have to seat you at a table to make sure it has been thoroughly sanitised before the next customer sits there. We do this entirely for your protection. If anyone was short with you about this, I thoroughly apologise as this is not at all what we stand for. It is very hard to make sure safety guidelines are followed when customers fail to follow the rules we set out for you upon entry.
It is not currently advised by the government that employees working in pubs have to wear masks - if it were, we would all be wearing them. I am more than happy to show you our in-depth risk assessments to show you all the things we do to keep you safe. A large proportion of our team are high-risk to Covid19 and I can promise you we are very careful and do all we can to keep our customers safe as well as each other.
I really hope you will return as we enjoyed having you here. We ask for your understanding in this very difficult climate where pubs are desperately trying to keep you safe and keep their doors open.

Visited here this afternoon for dinner in the thai restaurant, have been loads of time before. Food was lovely and very tasty but it was a bit on the expensive side, had to pay for prawn crackers most places give them free, especially at £3.50 they then added service e charge which we weren't aware of and I think is new as don't remember that from previous visits
We travel from Uxbridge to Chiswick to eat here but won't make the journey in future it's not worth the effort
Place is nice and a bit quirky, on their website they call it a kitchen. Might be different when its busy but it was a little bit chilly this after but after a curry we were glad it was
Overall it was a lovely meal but the costs just didn't make it worth it for us

We visited this restaurant this evening and were really not impressed. The food was so sweet it was unpleasant. It was like eating a desert of prawns, noodles and curry. The noodles we ordered were also sweet and greasy. When we asked about the sugar content we were told yes there is palm sugar and have you eaten Thai before? Which we have in the UK and Thailand and never experienced anything so sweet. The restaurant has either been too westernized or caters to those with a sweet tooth. The pub itself is great, good selection of beer.

The Thai food at this pub is great and post lock-down seems to have got even better. The menu is simple but a great cross section - expect to order meals by the plate (I.e. something and rice, something and fried rice). The pad Thai and red curry are firm favourites with us, and the Thai fish cakes and satay are very flavoursome starters. Given this is a fullers pub, the craft beer selection is beyond what normally is offered as well.
We keep coming back as it’s the best we have had in Chiswick and reminds us of many happy memories in Thailand.

Called in for a drink and snack. Nice pub/decor and good choice of beers, only problem was the roaming dog. Think it belonged to the people on a nearby table but unfortunately it was left to wander around the pub. Constantly coming under our table and when our food was served it wouldn’t leave us alone. Not 100% sure whose dog it was but there needs to be a rule to keep dogs under control. Won’t be going back because of this.

We are terribly sorry to hear that you have experienced this at our site. We normally have very well behaved dogs on our premises that do not roam about, so this is very unusual - but none the less, it is not acceptable and we must apologise. We always make sure to ask dog owners to kindly keep their canines with them at their tables, so I must apologise, that on this occasion this rule was not followed.
Please note that we are a dog friendly site, and we do not allow dogs or any pets inside our restaurant dining area, located at the back of the pub, where we provide full table service. Dogs/Pets are only ever allowed in the drinks area of the pub. Customers will on occasion order food to the drinks area, by ordering with our team at the bar instead of opting for table service in the restaurant, including dog owners - who cannot dine in the restaurant, while with their canine companion.
We must once again apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused you and your party. We are saddened to hear that because of this experience you would not like to return. We would like to offer you and a guest a free main meal on us as an apology, as we really do not want this experience to deter you from visiting us again in the future.
Once again, we sincerely apologise.

The staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. They were really fast and efficient at faking orders, the empty glasses were taken from our table frequently and there was a great atmosphere in the pub! One of the best things was that they were open until 1am which no other pub/bar in the area does. The only downfall would be the drinks prices which are quite high but other than that I would definitely recommend!

Walking down Chiswick High Street in 35 degrees heat looking for a cool lager and a bite to eat stumbled into The Old Pack Horse. Looks like an old traditional pub from the outside. And it is but what you don't expect is a brilliant Thai restaurant. Excellent food at decent prices. Amazing, friendly staff. We'll be back

This is one of our favourite Thai restaurants in London (note my wife is Thai and we regularly visit Thailand, so we know a little about the food) and a great place for craft beer. The staff are friendly and the place is spacious and comfortable, which is particular important now given social distancing. They are also taking the Covid rules seriously, which gives peace of mind. A fantastic gem and highly recommended!

A very well run Pub with all the anti Covid-19 measures in place. The staff looked after us really well dispite the disruption caused by thepandemic. Great choice of traditional and craft beers available. The Thai Restaurant at the Pub deserves huge shout out. Excellent fresh food at reasonable prices, served by staff that were happy to help.

As soon as I approach the doors, the host was an absolute delight. After being seated, the floor staff gave us sufficient time to decide to order our drinks as they have a wide range of drinks, and also when my husband requested the beer selection, the helpful staff member gave a fantastic recommendation of the Siren craft beer.
The staff was always convenient at service when needed, they offered complimentary water. We would definitely come back on our next travel to Chiswick.
Thank you to the old pack horse team. Friendliest staff we have experienced on our trip yet!
