We are local and like to eat out. The Plough has become number one for a good pub with great food in Ealing. There are many reasons but key is the manager, Richard (I think). A publican who is always seeking ways to improve things, has an incredible team working with him and delivers a great customer experience.
On a recent visit, I asked for my beef (Sunday lunch) as rare as possible. The sirloin that came out was perfection. There are very few places you can eat sirloin of beef cooked that well in London. The waitress who looked after us (wish I knew her name...short haired, great smile and super friendly outside two Sundays ago) went out of her way to put the request in, the chefs went out of their way to (probably) cut into the middle of a whole sirloin and the result was my delight. Children are always well looked after with good food, not just fried bad for you dishes but some healthy options, and lovely touches like toddler sized plastic cutlery.
The beer is well kept with a good selection, the wine list works well for value for money or better wines at a higher price, and all in we always have a great experience whenever we visit The Plough.
Thanks to all and hats off to Richard who simply runs an excellent pub.

Great food with excellent service
We are relatively local and spoilt with too many options.
However the Plough is pub of choice due to good food and amazing service.
We are always very happy to be served by the girl who is brunette and from Devon ( not sexist or hair colourist lol but that all we know her as )

Came in on Thursday night day after reopening and beyond impressed at how well organised but also how lovely all the staff were.
We only popped in for one and ended up having three and a burger each because the staff were so attentive.
Food was great! Really tasty and exactly what you would want from a pub dinner on a Thursday.
It was table service but drinks came really quickly and didn’t feel clinical like many other pubs sadly feel like with the new restrictions.
Well done all the team you all deserve a big pat on the back!

So me and my girlfriend went here for dinner, OMG the food was nasty, when I spoke to one staff he said he was so sorry this had happened, and would get a manager and he was really nice, we said to him don’t bother, he will still nice to me even if I was a little rude and angry, Sorry mate if you read this.
I only drink in a fullers pub because the staff are normally amazing, and the food is good, this place sucks and I don’t know how this is a fullers pub more like a Wetherspoons.
I will not be going back shame as I just moved close bye and was going to make my local.

Since the change of management the service is terrible! Always enjoyed this lovely local pub but it is not really the same. There are so many other nice local Pubs around, highly recommend the New Inn.
The Manager and his staff are all align to make you feel unwelcome. Upon arrival everybody is chatting and despite they keep safety and covid rules which is much appreciated under the circumstance but for them customer service comes last. They ask you to use the APP and nobody guides you about new government regulations : consistent meal etc. Once the order comes in , the waiter instead of offering some nice options, making friendly suggestions ... runs with a panic face as there is only one starter in the table ... then he comes back and threatens you that if you don’t order a consistent meal , they will make your life hell :)
I perfectly understand that they want to keep new covid rules but use your common sense (upon arrival we announced that all we wanted was a quick drink a nibbles and hostess was ok) train all your staff to inform customers from check in - stop chatting and laughing while your customers are trying their best to support local business gain some kind of normality.
Manager rude, arrogant, unfriendly .. staff too relax, poorly trained , no proactive enough..choice of food very poor and not that great. Extremely disappointed.
Customer service is key for any successful business but in this case a lot needs to be done.

I attended a first birthday party at The Plough on Saturday and had a really lovely time. We all pre-booked food which was just delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. The staff were so friendly and did everything possible to make the celebration real fun. A great family friendly venue.

Visited with a few friends on a Thursday afternoon, although there were a fair few customers in, the friendly and chatty bartender made me feel right at home. Was lovely to be in a real pub where when I was unsure of my order I was talked through their selection by the barman (wearing a fetching Guinness rugby sweatshirt) who offered me a taste of the IPAs they had on tap and seemed genuinely committed to finding me a drink I would enjoy. Although the beers are a little more pricey than other places around ealing this is simply the price to pay for good service and this is simply a step up from the usual system of having a pint plonked down in front of you with no further conversation. Overall I will definitely be visiting in the future and the plough is one of the last few bastions of proper pub service in the area in the post covid era.

We came as a group of 10 to celebrate my daughter’s 5th birthday. From start to finish the entire experience could not have been better. We were so well looked after by the whole team who could not do enough to help with the children, the table and the meal. Our cake was kindly taken to the kitchen on arrival and brought out with candles when ready. In the best restaurants and hotels, predicting what the customer needs and providing it is the benchmark standard - the team at the Plough deliver this without hesitation.
Richard - you were away and I have to say the team didn’t miss a beat (😉) - credit to them, credit to you. I don’t know how you find such brilliant, kind, caring and friendly people to work with you but to a person they are wonderful.
We are regular visitors and it’s an easy choice when we want excellent food and wonderful service.
I highly recommend the Plough. Our favourite pub in Ealing.

Slow service when meal arrived it was overcooked and burnt. Food was returned and the bill was requested. There was no reduction for the food retained no apology. We spoke to the manager who offered us a drink!

Decided to pop in for a quick one, was met with warm and polite service. Also very active on social distancing and keeping things clean. The weather was poor so I decided to sit inside, where I was served eventually for quite a few by two seperate barmen that were both friendly and obviously knowledgeable - I was talked through the different guest ales and offered a taster which was a nice gesture.
i didn't get the names of the barmen but one was very tall with long hair and the other was slightly shorter with very short hair and a goatee, they provided me with excellent service through my visit instead of the usual blankly plonking your pint infront of you then walking off like a wetherspoons. I would definitely return again.

I never write reviews, but had to do one as our meal was incredible. We were a party of 7, 5 of us veggies and we just had the most incredible roast, the nut roast was delicious, fluffy yorkshires, incredible potatoes and the meat eaters said the beef was amazing. The Pauls brownie is the best brownie desert we have ever had, lovely garden and fab settings. The service from Amy and Annabelle was flawless and we will be back! Thank you!!!!!

They gave us a nice table and the staff were very nice. However, the fish wasn’t fresh and 3 of the party were unwell afterwards. When we spoke to them afterwards they denied there was a problem, no apology….poor customer service, not what we expected.

First time working away in a few months. First time in pub since covid, staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Only went in for 1 pint with my colleague after work and left 7 pints and food later. The beer garden was table service but that being said potentially quicker and more socialable than queing at the bar. All tables socially distanced but not socially awkward. 5*****

Great pub ...BUT..loads of staff not really attentive,flat pints,had to ask 3 times to change -at £7 a pint it needs to be good ! not that busy but waited ages to be served ,no one acknowleded us waiting .8pm on a Fri eve and like a creche outside.
The toiletts were vile !

First visit here for a long time and it won’t be my last. Went with family and friends on a Sunday afternoon, everything was excellent. A great team working here, all very keen, helpful and friendly. We ordered quite a lot of food and have to say quality, portions and service were all 10/10. The roast beef for 2 was great as was the 12oz sirloin and burgers. It all represented great value for money and we will be back for sure. The garden area is great, lots of space but cozy too. Nice play area for the children too. Well done to all at The Plough.Please pass our thanks onto the whole team.
