Took friends from USA here for lunch. Good cool beer and tasty food. Better than I feared. The atmosphere is great with the 400 years of history oozing from the walls. Popular with tourists but hey!

A pub since 1860-something. Ground history 200 yrs above that. Just think who's been here? Dickens, Wren, Jack the Ripper? Sherlock perhaps... 🇬🇧 If none of the above then you go there and stand along 50 others outside and just enjoy a pint.... and history....More

When I am in London and fancy a pint this is the pub I head to in Central London. Easy to get to, but hidden away. Great selection of beers all kept well.
