We visited recently for lunch with a 10 year old and a 3 month old. We were made to feel welcome. Food was good value and tasty. The 10 year old had good choices from a great kids menu

Drinks were good, prices acceptable and the staff friendly. Always a long wait for food so that was no surprise. Eggs arrived with solid yolks. No crackling on the pork belly. Apple crumble is tasteless and processed -- it's small, sludgy and comes in a pastry case. Also I know it's probably a Brexit thing but the new 'Great British...'... More

Nice pub I like this pub it is well known and serves the community. The food was good and fairly priced. The pub is conveniently located next door to the Brockley Jack theatre

Visited the pub for food one evening while in the area. The food and staff were very good, a nice clean and friendly spot to eat and have a drink.

Pre-theatre meal was great, as was the ambience of the pub. Large and friendly, with people of all ages in fun and exciting Brockley neighborhood. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in London.

The service is excellent, the atmosphere is good and the food is...pub grub but it is very reasonably priced. There's a choice of beers to suit a variety of tastes and the missus and her friend find the wines acceptable. Give it a try.

This a reasonably local pub to me and I like it a lot. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is convivial and the food is...well, pub grub and it's fine particularly as it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. There is a selection of beers to cater for a variety of tastes and my missus and her friend find... More

The BJ is a favoured venue for occassional gatherings & the ambience was pleasantly festive - the guest ales were for the most part insipid & tasteless....whilst not particularly busy on the evening ...It was galling to have the hoover out within the accepted drink up times & the impatient attitude ( although the resident landlady was agreeably friendly) really... Twice within the last month we have gone to eat here. Normally the food is cheap and cheerful and waiting time is approx. 20-30 mins on a busy night. However when we went we were told 45 mins which we said ok, we waited over an hour and then decided to cancel our order. This was done without argument and... More
