We arrived on a Saturday evening without reservation and were given a great seat at the bar where we could watch the chef's preparing all the dishes with immense care in such a tiny kitchen we were so impressed at the efficiency! The staff were incredibly friendly and each dish was served to us by the chef who described the best ways to enjoy them. The food wash delicious and each plate was totally different to the last, we had a fantastic experience it really made our day. Would definitely recommend and hope I can return soon when I come back to London!

We were staying in Covent Garden for my wife's birthday this weekend, and found Condesa by chance. Initially we just went in for a couple of cold Modelo beers and some delicious olives, but ended up gradually ordering more and more tapas - and wow, this place is incredible. We sat at the bar so could see the food being prepared and the attention to detail that goes into every beautiful dish: the food looks unbelievably good, and it tastes better. We ordered the Spanish tortilla (glorious), pan con tomate (exceptional) and, the highlight, the pork knuckle in pita with jalapeno tzatziki and apple mustard from the 'Especiales' board. Oh. My. God. This was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten, and we promptly ordered another when we had finished. I think I am now clinically addicted to this dish. Already we cannot wait to go back to Condesa. Perfection.

Lovely tapas restaurant. Very small. Friendly helpful staff. We had six dishes between the two of us. All were delicious but the octopus with ponzu and hummus was outstanding. We finished with a great selection of cheeses with membrillo and were pleased with the complimentary glass of sherry. A good find, I’m sure we’ll be back.

Came here to celebrate an occasion, and I was expecting the place to be a bit bigger, instead it was very tiny and very loud on a Friday evening! I can't deny that a lot of wine (that I didn't drink) has been ordered, and this has for sure increased the cost of the bill at the end of the night, however I don't recall eating much. It seemed we were ordering quite a lot of food, but I don't remember many dishes. The dishes were very tiny, even the bread wasn't enough, and paying nearly £50 each for 1 dish I had and few things I tasted I think it was too much. The place is super tiny, so you already have to give up space; super load, and the food is tasty but extremely expensive for what they give you. I didn't use the toilets, but not a super nice smell was coming from it, and you could notice because the space is super tiny. The service was kind. Would I go back? Not really. General value: 6/10

The venue is small, the seats and tables inside not the most comfortable, tight together however it’s authentic in a modern way, it’s a tapas bar and it doesn’t really bother you when you start eating and drinking. The service and staff when we visited where engaging, polite and friendly and we liked the atmosphere. The Tempranillo was great and well sourced, it complemented the food really well. Meats and cheeses are the highest quality, the Iberico pork sliders, tuna tartare, and paella with confit duck really good (paella was a v small portion though). Show stopper was the simple tortilla, it was fantastic. The expresso martini (ok not Spanish but, it’s not Spain) was well mixed. The only thing is the price, it’s gonna cost some dollar, it’s good quality tapas and drinks in Covent Garden, what does everyone expect? I will pay as a one off when it’s this good. We will return but probably not weekly

Apart from stool seating that won't be comfortable for everybody I have nothing negative to say about this place. The staff were sublime, particularly going out of their way to let me try several tasters of wine before choosing a delicious bottle. Wonderful sherry, the tapas were absolutely stunning. They sold out of one before we could get it which didn't surprise me as everything was top quality. The tuna tartare on blue corn chips will stay in my memory for a lling while. And then they gave us a free taster of mezcal at the end (I'd never had it) complete with orange and peppery condiment. Heavenly. Absolutely go!

My brother and I visited on a Tuesday lunchtime and we were the only customers in the restaurant for the duration of our meal. It may well be that the growing threat of Covid-19 had something to do with this but I also suspect, as evidenced by other reviews, that Condesa is much busier in the evenings. Since we wanted a quiet chat, this suited us fine. There's no doubt the tapas on offer is of a consistently high standard - with the spicy tuna tartare a standout - and it was backed up by a decent carafe of wine and (as one would expect in the circumstances) attentive and friendly service. It's not cheap though: without much effort we managed to rack up a £100 bill.

We went on a Friday night so it was pretty busy. The space is tiny and cramped: we were squished right up against the wall and the wait staff were squeezing past us. But the food was excellent. The cheese platter came with delicious fruit bread and some confiture of some kind; the tuna and pork were exquisitely prepared; the pan con tomate had tantalising crispy flakes of sea salt. The one sweet on the menu is lovely and light and palate-cleansing. We were done in plenty of time for our theatre trip - whole visit was something like 6:05 to 7:10pm.

It was a sunny day and I admit to heading for Five Guys in Covent Garden. I fancied a burger. Walking along Maiden Lane I saw people dining outside Condesa, and went in to ask if they had anything that might make a good snack rather than a full meal. The friendly staff suggested Sliders Wow - I am so glad I stopped by. I sat in the sun - ate the small plate that was presented - and it was delicious. I dont suppose I can really judge a whole restaurant on one snack, but it really hit the spot. The staff were very friendly and I'm tempted to return for full lunch or dinner on day.

We visited for a New Year’s Eve meal. We booked late so was pleased to get a table. The menu is not huge, but that is usually a good sign and the dishes did not disappoint! The sliders and tacos were so unique, Felt like a really original dish and different to anything else I have had at a tapas restaurant. The sangria was really nice, I would argue a little on the expensive side though. A jug gets you small glasses but costs 25 pound. The restaurant is very small, it’s not the sort of place you could have a long meal at, they only have stalls so it does get a bit uncomfortable if you are sat there for a while. That being said the staff are great, something special about all being in a small room with the chefs and staff, it really felt authentic. I will definitely be back and will bring my friends/family so they can experience it.

Every single item we ordered was delicious. So much so that we can’t wait to return to order the rest of the menu! The wine was really nice and good value for the quality. The tortilla, sliders and pig cheek tacos were amazing. The only thing I was missing was some soft bread or potatoes to absorb some of the lovely juices and sauces. The bread was served as thin crispy slices like crostini, which weren’t stodgy enough!

Booked a table for a late lunch and had a really memorable meal, sitting outside in a lovely quirky street very close to Covent Garden. The food was delicious, very creative and not the standard recipes you often get in a tapas restaurant. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Excellent buzzy tapas bar/restaurant. We had seats at the bar and enjoyed seeing the chefs prepare and listening to their chat, although Spanish so we couldn’t understand! There was a great relaxed vibe and we enjoyed the food a lot. We also had an excellent waiter.

My partner and I booked a table here for a Friday early evening meal before heading to a show. The restaurant is very small, which made it quaint and warm. The staff were attentive and quick, we were never left waiting for anything. They were also welcoming. The food was delicious, we enjoyed it all and the drink selection was good. There were elements of it that in my opinion were slightly overpriced, however you are in central London so that's to be expected. All in all, a really great spot for authentic Spanish food in a central location with top atmosphere. I would recommend.

Condesa is on a cute little Soho street with no traffic so you start to get a sense of the restaurant from the half dozen litte tables outside the front. It feels really authentic, it's fun, cute, a little bit quirky but all the better for it. The service was relaxed but attentive, the wine was good and not expensive and the food was excellent. Whatever else you pick, try the Tuna tartar! We'll be back 👍 Great tapas bar.
