Room almost full upstairs near 11pm when a bouncer (no uniform) suddenly appeared and shouted that people needed to go downstairs. People were getting their things together but literally a minute later he was back screaming at people. When we asked that 5 minutes notice...would have been nice, he accused us of being rude and aggressive. The only aggression came from him! In retrospect it was quite funny - clearly unable to compete as one of the best pubs anymore, they've gone for the Fawlty Towers approach.More

Still the best real ale and cider pub in Central London by a country mile. Popped in with some chums for a convivial few pints while our wives were doing their ladies who lunch routine in Covent Garden. The Fullers was, as you'd expect, in...top nick and I was also delighted to see Tricky Cider from Somerset among the selection of real cider boxes in the fridge. Decent pork pies for the soakage and top banter with the lads behind the bar. The Harp is regularly garlanded by the campaign for Real Ale and it's not hard to see why. A proper boozer serving proper beer without the faff. Marvellous.More

Thought we would pop in this weekend while waiting to see the processions, as hadn’t been here for several years Not much has changed which was good to see. Still straightforward and accommodating and good to visit while around Charing Cross

Bar staff were unable to recognise the order of clients which led to my friend being ignored for far too long. When she was finally served another couple interjected saying they were first and were usurped. I used to drink here often but the bar...staff need training in hospitality, I will not be returning. If you enjoy a fight for your drink then this place of food you.More

Once a great pub, now disappointing. The biggest let down is the bar staff, once its greatest asset. On recent visits the staff have been unwelcoming and appeared miserable. The beer range is still good but the character of the upstairs has been ruined. No...longer a must visit for me. A great shame ...More

The Harp London Great beer and location try it out . Great beer and location, close to theater district, covent garden and Trafalgar square . Really enjoyed the beer and atmosphere a London pub at its best. It has been in the good beer guide...for a long time so well worth a visit and look at the interesting painting and sketches of actors that have frequented the pub.More

Went there yesterday for a mates stag do. The beer is fine but I have no idea how it has been voted pub of the year 2019 and 2020. Its website states it serves sausages, pies and pub snacks, but when we asked for some...pork pies, the staff asked us what a pork pie was? So we asked what food they had we were just told 'crisps'. When I showed them their website, they just shrugged their shoulders and said the website needed updating. I can only assume it has changed hands since winning its awards. If you just want a pint in a pub, then go there, but it is just a standard pub, but if you are hungry, then avoid it.More

No, you're not going to get a meal here. Unless you class a couple of sausages as a meal. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. The Harp is, and has always been a "drinkers" pub. On a busy day you will be elbow to elbow... More
