Took my boyfriend here for lunch on his birthday. It is SO dark inside, think an Abercrombie and Fitch store, thank god I took my glasses to read the menu. We were seated straight away, it wasn't busy and our drinks order was taken. I ordered a cocktail, it came in a minuscule glass and cost £7.50! We both ordered... More

I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was quite big - normally with bigger burgers you loose the quality but it still tasted great. Get a chips to share as they are massive also

Went for lunch here and won't be coming back low light And trying to look like a cheap horror movie set don't quite work coupled with a 40 min wait for our burgers and chips just not good enough. Burger came greasy and overcooked almost cremated the chilli chips were more grease then anything else The food is as dreadful... More

It was way too dark as I was barely able to see what I was eating. I had the Tower burger which has a hash brown and the breaded chicken and I found it hard to differentiate by looking at them due to the lack of light. It was also way too loud and as a result, the server got... More

First visit to Meatliquor - had seen & heard about them in Brighton so was excited to finally get to give them a try. You know that feeling when you leave a cinema after a couple of hours & your eyes are hurt by the daylight - well you get the exact opposite effect here! Your eyes hurt because they... More

Good burgers, wings, love their choice of fries and how it was served a big tray with a roll of kitchen towel as it can get messy. Great atmosphere, very busy on a Saturday lunch but was seated straight away. Good selection of drinks and good service.

At 7:40pm on a Saturday we were waiting outside for 40 minutes (told a 15 minute wait!) before even getting inside! Once inside we were told another 25 minute wait but ordered the drinks at the bar and stood waiting around. We noticed the couple behind us in the queue outside seated first, and when approaching staff another guy had... More

Slow service, bog standard burgers and fries. Watery blue cheese and buffalo sauce/dips. However the fried pickles must be the worst food I've ever been served, and I love fried pickles. These are more just disgusting oily batter. Most of the staff seem to be employed to distract the others. Such a shame, this place used to be great.

I am a regular customer and must have eaten here countless times since this place opened a few years ago. Until recently, I could not fault it, however the last few times have left me feeling rather underwhelmed.... Firstly, I have noticed that whilst prices have gone up recently, quantities have been reduced: the chilli and cheese on the chilli... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
