So it took 5 attempts to get someone's attention before we could order. Some blatant avoidance of eye contact by waiting staff, and when we were about to give up and leave, the 'assigned waitress' came over. When food was served, 3 out of 4 main meals arrived and we waited a good few minutes before asking about the 4th... More

Had a lovely meal here. This is the 2nd time we have visited, the only problem I have with the place is the noise. It is a big cavernous Restaurant and we were sitting near the back where the staff were working flat out stacking plates and you could not have a decent conversation for the noise. But the food... Lovely rustic interior and Italian menu. Been to lots of Italian restaurants before so was expecting something a little exciting seeing as it was 'Jamies' the menu was traditional and nothing really special, atleast the price was reasonable. The waiters took their time with the food even though the place wasn't very busy. #foodographylondon

Our first time at Jamie's Convent Garden, it was the normal excellent standard. We find the bread basket is good to share as a starter. I had the pasta special of the day, my wife had the sausage casare, both were really enjoyable. If you live in the UK I suggest you sign up for the Jamies gold card, it... More

Four of us were looking around Covent Garden looking for somewhere to eat and decided on Jamie's once the queue had died down. Service was quick and friendly although they were still busy, food was very good - I had the bangers and mash (not very Italian I know) which was really tasty. £30 per person for two courses, one... I did not have high expectation. A name, a chain. I was waiting for a 'format'. It might have been but it made me forget. A nice meal at a decent price for London. Service and ambiance was good.

JAMIE'S ITALIAN COVENT GARDEN A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Jamie's Italian Covent Garden, right in the heart of central London, is perfectly located for the West End's theatre-goers, weekend shoppers, tourists and locals alike. The restaurant is small but perfectly formed, and always buzzing with activity - make sure you stop by and soak up the atmosphere while tucking into some delicious food and a cocktail or two. They open up the outdoor space in the summer too, which is perfect for relaxed lunches and al fresco dinners when the weather's fine.
