Walked in on a Monday after work hoping to eat but could not find a table. Good beer selection and pub vibe but wasn’t able to find a place where I could sit to order food and eat so ended up going somewhere else for...dinner.More

This is a great traditional pub that serves a selection of Fuller's ales, Frontier lager and other guest beers. I won't list the beers as choice is constantly rotating but just ask the helpful staff. There is a restaurant upstairs and in the basement. On...the menu there are quite a few pies, as this is a "Pie and Ale" pub. But there is also a wider range of classic and modern pub favourites. The crabmeat burger is interesting and they do triple cooked chips. The customers are mostly tourists or MPs and civil servants. Well worth a visit.More

Three friends and I stopped here for breakfast. Staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Bit of historical information about the pub on the wall which is an interesting read. Would stop again if I'm ever along that way.

This pub has so much character if the walls could talk there would be so much to tell. The staff are lovely very helpful as it was very busy when we visited. I definitely recommend booking a table. We opted for the pies which I...must say were delicious and we would have given 5 stars but the gravy was a bit thin and insipid and the mash was lukewarm. If the veg had been hotter and the gravy a bit thicker it would be 5 stars. Still worth going for the pies and we can forgive the rest.More

While planning my 4 days n the capital sightseeing, I had identified the Red Lion as it was the closest to Downing Street, literally over the road and 50 yards away. I had completed a near 20-mile walk along the south bank to Tower Bridge...and back to Westminster to take in 15 London landmarks. The Red Lion was to be a celebratory pint on achieving this walk. A very pleasant girl and man who were outside the front, opened the door and welcomed me in. The barman (possibly South African) served me and again was very pleasant. I hadn’t been in the Capital for over 50 years, but the service and pleasant attitudes I found were a revelation. I went back outside and sat at one of the few tables out front. The bar, beer and service were first rate and I couldn’t recommend this place high enough.More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are

I have my receipt and they did add 12.5 % service to the bill, but you are not required to pay that. However the service was good there so we chose to pay the total.
