Nice clean bar , friendly staff but... the beer is crap. Tastes like the lines are not cleaned often enough! Obviously the lager is drunk more than the ale .

I spent an entire morning drinking bottomless coffee with a vegetarian breakfast while surfing the net and enjoying free wifi. I was joined by my wife, who had spent time at a nearby super market, who also indulged in bottomless Latte.

This pub is a little cheaper than most Wetherspoons but it has a nice heritage with it having been a theatre originally. Friendly staff.

We had two very nice lunches here. Fish and chips once and Haloumi another day. Food was fresh, hot, delicious! Service was service...not bad, not great. I would definitely eat there again.

We stayed in London atvStepney over Christmas week and we’re astonished by the value and variety of the menu at the Half Moon. Plenty of burgers, but also salads, fish and chips and other stuff. Some great standards, others with just a little bit more...More

Had our first lunch there in November 2018. Great fish & chips at fair prices. Service very friendly and knowledgable (regarding beer variations). Nice atmosphere in the evening with lots of students.

Perhaps the leaky roof dripping onto the carpet can leave a musty smell, though I can't remember any unpleasant smells.
