We only came here for drinks but even upon entering it felt like being in a small French town wine bar with French conversations being all around us. Even when I had tried to reserve a table on the phone the waitress spoke French it was great! The staff are polite and even the menu was a large wine bottle!... More

Well that was my wife's description! Everything about our evening here was first class, The welcome on arrival, the service throughout the meal, (okay all the staff are French and us English are seduced by a French accent!), the food was beautifully cooked and full of flavour, from the snails, salmon, veal, cod, tartare de beouf to the tarte tatin... We really enjoyed our dinner at Chez Elles. If you want to spend a nice evening with delightful food, this is your place. We had: - Cromesquis de St Marcelin aux herbes - (delightful) - Planche fromage-charcuterie - (we were two but the quantity is enough to share up to four people) - Moules Marinières a la crème, frites maison... I always look forward to lunch at Chez Elles. It's a handy location, slightly away from the beaten track for those that work in the City and a great area to explore if a tourist. The restaurant itself is nicely set out and we had a long table for 6. Chez Elles caters for couples and large tables equally well.... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at Chez Elles. It is a quaint little spot with excellent French food. And the house wines were excellent as well.

We always have a great time at Chez Elles! This is home away from home, a bit of France in the middle of Brick lane. Impeccable service, the rillettes and escargots remain my favourite starters! We had the onglet as main and it was perfectly cooked. The tartare is also a must ;-) We will come back again and again!... More

We found this place using TripAdvisor which was spot on with its rating. Everything about the place was spot on. The food choice was good, nicely presented and tasty. Good value for money and the service was as good as you would find anywhere.

A small but super cosy French restaurant. It makes you feel as you were transported to Paris! Really busy, very attentive staff, good French meniu. Worth the visit.

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighborhood Profile
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
