We have been here 3 times now and the food and service are excellent. Even though they were short staffed, they had time to chat and do a good job. Excellent beers also!

We love The Victoria and always visit it when we are in London. It is a fabulous pub with lovely staff and pub manager who go our of their way to help. We had the lamb today and it was delicious, but their food always...is great. We think it is the best pub in London for grub and hospitality. Just great all round, a proper pub where we always feel welcome.and very much at home. Wish it was our local. It would be if we lived nearer.More

We had just arrived in London after several weeks in the countryside. This was near our hotel and we came here our first evening. Very lively crowd and also all the trappings of a traditional pub. We enjoyed out dinner in the outdoor space. A...cut above!More

This was our first stop upon arriving in London and it was a gem! We had a delicious meal in beautiful, historic surroundings. The lamb was particularly delectable. Service was attentive and very friendly, including providing us with recommendations for beers we hadn't yet tried....It was a great experience to kick off our vacation.More

This pub is full of history and pride... That's Fuller's London Pride .... The welcome here is awesome whether it's from the staff and management or the customer's. Its just an awesome friendly pub serving fantastic real ale...the other drinks seem to be just as...good given the reaction of my fellow guests..but I come for the ale which is always tops.More

We went Sept 1st. Loved this place. Perfect. The fish and chips, delicious. The hummus platter was simply divine. And the pie of the day this time was steak and ale... which was amazing! James, our server, was really cool and friendly. Highly recommend!

We were searching for a pub near Paddington Station for an English Pub experience. The Victoria was perfect. The atmosphere was inviting and lively. Food was delicious. Service very good. We had the hummus and olives to start…good sized portions to share. Then the battered...fish and chips with peas was spot on. The chicken sandwich was very flavorful. Highly recommend!!More

We travelled from Worcester a couple of nights ago to meet friends who'd recommended this place. They were not wrong. We had the best table in the house, upstairs by the open balcony doors. Despite the pub being understaffed our waiter James looked after us...most attentively, popping up and down the stairs all evening. Loved the pub, and the ambience and decor, and we'd especially like to thank James ( and his mother) for the helpful recommendations regarding the various excellent dishes on offer. We didn't get back home until 1.00 a.m. but we'd had a great night out.More

We visit this pub whenever we travel to London (Paddington being our mainline station and only a 10 minute walk) Always treat ourselves to lunch at this pub before travelling home Food / drinks / service always excellent. Beautiful building. Calm and peaceful atmosphere. A...London black cab driver first suggested this venue. They're rarely wrong. It's been a firm favourite for many years.More

My wife and I had a marvelous meal at The Victoria pub. The service was especially attentive and friendly, the food was outstanding, snd there was a good selection of beers and wines. My wife had a delicious steak and ale pie and I had...a lamb and feta burger (one of the daily specials). The sticky toffee pudding was the best we’ve had in the UK! Kudos to the chef! Kudos, too, to server Emma and barkeep Jaga for being so helpful and making our visit so enjoyable. We highly recommend The Victoria (located a few blocks from Paddington train station.More

The last time I reviewed the Victoria I gave it only 3 stars, not because of the quality of the food, but because I felt rather crushed and overwhelmed when we ate in the very busy bar area. This was entirely my decision as we...did have a table booked upstairs, but pressure of time made us change that. I said in that review that next time I would heed my own advice and dine in the restaurant. This we did and it was excellent: friendly and helpful staff, excellent wine, delicious food. And it was a relaxing and pleasant experience, even on a very hot August night. We will have no hesitation in booking a table the next time we are in London.More

Dear Welsh named person, thanks for giving us another go. We are a titchy pub, so downstairs is definitely a pub experience with food which some people love. Others, as yourself prefer the slightly more relaxing upstairs rooms. Glad you enjoyed it this time round....More

If you order it without the tartare sauce then our fish & chips is dairy free .. although it is prepared in an open kitchen so could have some cross contamination of course. Hope that helps.
