As a regular commuter I have loved the parcel yard over the years for its great food, service, well kept beer and buzzing atmosphere. I made my first return trip this week after several months and was really saddened. The atmosphere (not their fault I...know) on a Friday early evening was funereal. The once interesting menu was pared right back and for £14 I had a really uninspiring dry burger with poor quality chips all very drably presented. My partner had chicken pie which was okay. When the bill came they added a 12.5% service charge which, for a station pub, serving burger and chips, takes some gall. Only good thing was that the draft ESB was as good as ever but when you are presented with a bottom line of £70 for two I expect a lot better.More

We popped in today for breakfast. It was very quiet. Our waitress was really efficient and friendly. The full English breakfast was delicious. It was weird sitting there looking around as the place is so quiet. But if you are in Kings Cross or the...area and want an excellent cooked breakfast for £11 then this is the place to go. Service was spot on. Lovely, clean, bright and airy. My only complaint is I would have liked to have paid cash and I don’t think they should automatically but a service charge on.More

So glad to see that The Parcel Yard has re-opened and we had a great time there. However it’s really sad to see it so empty. The staff were lovely, so friendly and service at the table is excellent and very quick. Just hope the...visitor numbers build up quickly as it’s such a superb place.More

We loved the way King&s Cross Station had been re-imagined to emphasise the station-ness of it. This pub is a prime example. Taking advantage of internal structures, and not disguising them, it was a fun place to hang out and fed us well, as well....We had made our way across the station, pausing longer than we should have at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. This at the end of a long day. So, we were delighted to find a sign for a pub. At least, we thought it was a pub but from the name we weren't completely sure. Up to the first floor, above the rough and tumble of the station concourse. Not exactly quiet up there, but definitely a pub. Buzzing with after-work drinkers and a certain number of tourists like ourselves. Found a table, far, far from the bar. Efficient staff at the bar itself. Ordered food and drinks. Despite the crowds of people there, the food appeared quickly and was good and wholesome. Started to relax under the influence of the drinks. Tuned out from the boastful conversations around us. Studied the ceiling, the walls, the setting. Very nicely designed. Not only taking advantage of existing structures but also cleverly designed to accommodate a large number of customers withoutever giving the feeling we were in a big room. Attentive waitstaff offering refills. why not stay a little loner. For a while we thought we would not find a decent pub near the station, but we did. Very decent.More

I visited with friends before catching our train back to York. There was a mix up with our table number and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful in sorting it out. The food was great and all the staff were lovely. Thank you guys!...You’re all stars!More

I booked one of the private function rooms at The Parcel Yard for an away day. We didn't get off to the best start when booking because the games room we booked got cancelled for some Network Rail works, which was a shame because the...draw of the room is it gave us an activity and not just a room. But they upgraded us to the Station Masters Quarters. The room is beautiful and had retained so many of the original features of the original postal sorting office. The events team on the day were fabulous and really welcoming and accommodating. Our drinks package was ready for us on arrival and the team made sure everything was as we wanted. We had a phone connection so were were able to make our own playlist ahead of our event which meant everyone had a really enjoyable afternoon. There is a large screen tv on the wall too, although we didn't use that. The room overlooks the main platforms, which is great for a spot of people watching. The team really enjoyed their afternoon and their surroundings. Thankyou for your hospitality Parcel Yard!More

We had visited the Parcel Yard the last time we were on holiday in London, and were hoping that it was still of the same high standard. We were ecstatic to find that indeed it was! One would think that food and drink inside King's...Cross would be extortionate and not of good quality. Quite the contrary! The prices are so reasonable and the quality is excellent. I had the falafel wrap with sweet potato fries. The portion was of a great size, the ingredients were so fresh and tasted wonderful. (I think they are the best sweet potato fried I have ever had!) My Mum had the smoked salmon and cucumber sandwich with chips. Again, they did not skimp on the fresh ingredients. My sister had the salt beef sandwich which was thick and juicy. She also had the sticky toffee pudding with buffalo milk salted caramel ice cream which was utterly delicious! The London pride they served went down a treat too, and reasonable for how central the location was. The look of the place is just so full of character! Full of pokey, homely rooms. Please do not pass up the chance to come here. Thank you for providing us with an eatery in London we know we can rely on. We are already hungry for our next visit!More

I was asked to meet with friends at this location, I got there early and boy what a great place! A huge bar with cask ales, and a very nice and different menu. I recommend a visit for a drink or a bite!

We stopped here after a train journey. Great pub in a great location with lots of space, drinks aren’t cheap but still worth a visit.

We went with a group and had a good time. Food and beer were very good and we were looked after well. They will even welcome dogs, but unfortunately ours did not come this time. The building has some interesting old features and fittings. It...is worth going to the Ladies to see the old toilets, basins and lights.More

The restaurant is on one floor. There is a lift near the Harry Potter store. The restrooms seemed older with older fixtures, and I am not certain it is easy to use by the handicapped.
