After having learnt that the most amazing Mexican restaurant in New York (La Esquina) had a sister restaurant in London....i HAD to go!! Set in Soho, beneath a sex shop is the most unexpected surprise of a lively, fun, hidden gem of a restaurant with delicious mexican food and even better Tequila!! Ive been here twice now. Once with my... More

This little gem was such a great find. The shop front eludes passers by that it's a peep show /sex shop. You enter to be greeted for your booking name then taken downstairs to a cooky den with dim lighting and abstract artwork all around you. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend the soft shell crab tacos. I... More

We were invited to dinner during our recent stay in London. Friends had heard about this Mexican restaurant in Soho and wanted to give it a try. The entrance was a surprise. There is no hint of a restaurant in front. Instead, it looks like an 80s adult sex shop, complete with a sinister-looking doorman. It took courage to enter... More

Excellent staff and very efficient given that it's a very popular place for diners as well as those for drinks only. Good for the casual and has mixture of patrons. Nearby quite a lot of other places including restaurants. Tasted Turkish pizzas for first time and tasty. Charcoal grills look tasty and yet to taste. Sort of crowded and good... More

Had dinner with a friend, very quirky restaurant with sex shop neon lighting at street level in soho. Downstairs was a cosy, atmospheric restaurant. Friendly & helpful service, food was fresh, yummy and interesting, not the standard Mexican food. Huge range of tequila (not a massive drinker, but the house margaritas were delicious). Shared 6 plates & a few margaritas... More

A lively place for a drink, snack or meal of fresh, tasty Mexican food. It's very well run and the staff are both charming and efficient. Good cocktails. Convenient for pre-theatre supper.

Visited here as it looked busy and so glad we did. We had the fajita's and they were gorgeous. Homemade wraps and lots of filling and all the trimmings. We will definitely do this again. Good atmosphere and really nice staff!

On summoning up the courage to walk in through the "Sex Shop" entrance I was welcomed with a smile and the news that I'd have to take off my jacket as suits were "not allowed" all done in fun and not a problem! The atmosphere is lively and fast-paced. Cocktails good and the starters - particularly the Soft Shell Crab... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
