We had a great meal here last night, and thought that it was very good value for money for the quality of the food.
Just a few niggles:
First, we ordered a bottle of Chenin Blanc, but the waitress brought us a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Not a problem - we sent it back, and the correct one was brought to us. But when the bill came, it hadn't been altered. And Sauvignon is significantly more expensive than Chenin, so if we hadn't noticed, we would have been out of pocket.
Second, we were eating relatively early (6.30pm), and there weren't many tables occupied at that time, but we had quite a long wait for our food
... which was because the small plates, that we had ordered as starters, came at the same time as the main plates. It would have been useful to be asked by the waiter if we wanted them all at the same time, or separately. This wasn't a big issue, really, but I'm sure it contributed to the long wait time for our food.
All of that said, we will definitely be back. It's great to have something a bit different in Wimbledon.

We had an amazing time at your restaurant, as a family of 6 the 50% off menu was really helpful for us. I have to say you have a wonderful team in place, particularly Riyad, he helped us a lot.
About the menu, as a person of an Asian background I like my flavours to pack a punch so I was really looking forward to tasting the dishes on your menu.
We all loved the Sticky Wings, so much that we ordered it again! The popcorn chicken was really good. The Squid lacked a bit of flavour, the chilli oil didn't help, I think having some dipping sauces would've been really nice. I must say your standout dishes were the Chicken Bali Bowl and the Beef Rendang (this was really really good, I would just suggest there is a bit more gravy to scoop up with the roti)
The pad Thai was really good, especially how it was presented. The Lychee and mango chicken was nice but in comparison to the other mains we felt the portion was much smaller. I ordered the Chicken Pad Krapow Khai, I was really looking forward to this as I've had it before but I felt the sauce overpowered the entire dish and was too salty, I wasn't about to finish it. The Nasi Goreng was 👌🏼I would love this as a brunch option too.
We ordered 6 mocktails, 4 of them had to be sent back as they were extremely sour and i love sour things! The second time round the mocktails were good. We ordered dessert but was surprised to see a roti instead of an actual pancake but that was my fault for not seeing the small print, the ice-cream was a good balance. Overall I found it dry and difficult to eat without a knife, this was actually a confusing concept for us throughout the meal not being able to use a knife throughout the meal. The Mango Sorbet was very nice but again we felt the portion was a tad small.
I would definitely come back again but not sure if we could afford it at normal prices as a family. I would probably use it as a place to meet up with friends as the decor and ambience is totally different for Wimbledon. Looking forward to visiting again

I was aiming to to visit the Fitzrovia site but when I saw the Wimbledon restaurant was opening I deferred my booking. I am so glad I chose this venue, the decor is amazing but add to this the welcoming, attentive and accommodating staff made this occasion all the more enjoyable. We sampled many dishes loving the Asian platter which was filled with moorish tasty delights. We had main courses of Tamarind Prawns and Fried Fish which were delicious. Portions sizes were adequate but would have happily eaten a fish twice the size and prawns twice the portion given the taste. We also sampled numerous cocktails, loving the Peach Tea and the Iced Tea very alcoholic. I will be definitely visiting this venue again maybe even next week, thank you Charlie for your service and the numerous female managers that continuously asked how we were doing that was a very nice touch.

What a find, we were staying in the hotel next door and thought we’d give it a go and we’re very glad we did. The menu is really appealing and the chef delivered on the quality and cookery of the food. Each item on the breakfast was cooked very well.
This coupled with the appeasing decor and the fanatic service received from every staff member we interacted with, made it a highlight of our trip.
Our main server was Elene - however the gentleman behind the bar and I assume the Manageress were all incredibly attentive. It felt like a tradition service, where your custom feels like it’s appreciated and wanted - which is so refreshing in these times.
100% worth a visit and we will definitely seek out this venue chain again.

I think this place has potential, but right now it needs to settle in a bit. A generally pleasant atmosphere with clean dining and friendly staff. Food was lovely and of very good quality. There was however a long wait time for the food, and we found that the waiters seemed slightly unsure and apprehensive. By 7pm an item of the dessert menu was already sold out. I think giving it a few months this place has the potential to be quite lovely, but for now it, despite the hype it’s had, it wasn’t that great and nothing special.

Definitely the most exciting thing to happen in Wimbledon and indeed local area for a long time! Stunning decor with highly original touches and even sound effects - it’s an experience in itself! However the food and service matched the high standards and you can see, taste and feel the enormous amount of effort that goes into making this place something really special. The menu is a curated list of some of the tastiest Eastern flavours and the cocktail list was inventive and superb! For families the kids menu was fab too. All in all a fantastic experience- expect this place to get VERY busy. Looking for my next excuse to go back very soon!

I ate here for the first time recently and the food was nice but nothing special. The staff were friendly but the service was a bit slow. I had the Tamarind Chicken, which as grilled chicken breast with shallots and tendersteam broccoli, with egg fried rice (comes separately)!
Also, the table and chairs we were sat at were really uncomfortable (very high chairs and table and not very stable - also a bit cramped).

We visited Tampopo after a long walking tour, without a reservation, the restaurant was full, yet we were very warmly welcomed by a lovely waitress. Areeb served us at the table. Communicative, smiling, funny, open (he taught our daughter how to use chopsticks), he explained the menu clearly and suggested dishes that were ultimately delicious - heavenly. Due to the long waiting time, we received additional drinks, the manager personally offered them to us, apologizing for the situation (in our opinion, the time was right, the atmosphere there is so wonderful that time passes slowly)

We dined here last Friday evening and the restaurant itself is pretty nice and had a good atmosphere even at 6pm.
Both my friends have food allergies and the menu is not very helpful so they asked for the allergen list and were given a massive laminated spreadsheet in the tiniest of writing !! They need to sort that out.
The food was really nice and we enjoyed our choices, however, the service was a bit poor. Twice one of the waitresses tried to take my friends glass of wine away even though she still had wine left in it - she didn’t even ask if the glass was finished! We also had to chase up our drinks a couple of times.
We had a nice evening but not too sure we’d be rushing back.

This is our second visit. Always welcomed by friendly staff. Very efficient but not too intrusive. Food excellent. We ate the K Paid Thai Chix, Green Curry Chix, Jasmine rice. All fresh. Reasonably priced. Was fairly busy for a Monday early evening. We were served by Liz and Vicky who were great and helpful explaining some of the dishes. Would thoroughly recommend.

Had a fab time at Tampopo. Food was delicious - it’s always refreshing to see veggie and vegan food on the menu that is a bit different! Charlie did a great job of looking after us - very attentive and patient when we took forever to decide what to order!

Tampopo is a really nice addition to the Wimbledon dining scene, with several different types of seating: Al fresco for the summer, small, low-lit tables (perfect for date nights) and even larger 'bamboo basket' tables.
The food is generally very nice, the pork belly was delicious, the satays satisfying. I didn't think the beef rendang was worth it at ÂŁ13 (the egg was boring and the portion size was small for a main), so I'd recommend getting several small dishes to share.
The staff were lovely, shout outs to Victoria, AnaĂŻs, Juanell, and the whole team for being so friendly and accommodating. They also have a good 241 cocktail deal (two for ÂŁ14) before 7pm and after 9pm. We tried their take on an Asian long island ice tea and it was delicious.
Overall a very nice evening at a reasonable price (ÂŁ39 all in) with great staff and a charming setting. I'll definitely return at some point.

A group of us went for breakfast on Sunday morning the man that served us was very nice and talked us through the menu. We all ordered our food and it was lovely . Great food lovely staff highly recommend many thanks for a lovely morning breakfast

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy rush hour in Wimbledon, we stumbled across this beautiful hidden gem. When we walked in, the restaurants atmosphere was vibrant, full of happy customers enjoying themselves.
As we waited to be seated, Phillip came around the corner with a big smile full of positive energy. Wanting some privacy, we asked if it would be possible to have our food in a far corner, turns out that was the bar area, but he was move then happy to accommodate.
At first, we though it would not be enough food, however, we were wrong.
For starters we had the Szechuan crispy squid tossed with seven spices, yuzu mayonnaise & chilli sauce, the wok-fried chicken wings that had a sweet soy & chilli glaze with a lightly crisp crunch to them. Instead of a main we had the sharing platter that had Chicken satay, sticky wings, corn fritters, Bali pork belly & Kimchi & Cucumber Salad plus a bowl of jasmine rice. The peanut sauce was sooo good, that we cheeky asked for some more just to have with the rice!
Our bellies were very content!
We will be going back as the food was amazing and the service was incredible; thank you Phillip for helping make the experience that much sweeter.

We celebrated my son’s birthday here on the evening of 7 October and enjoyed the most amazing food and hospitality. The evening was all the better as due to an error on my part the booking had been made for the 8 October but Helene and the team somehow managed to rearrange things so we could be fitted in and continue our celebrations. A huge thank you to Helene and the team and I am looking forward to visiting again soon.
