This is one of the pubs we always choose when going out for a work lunch. There's a good range of hot and cold food and the staff are lovely.

Based on two visits, October 2015 and November 2016. Nice staff. Ok decor. Stale smell. Their burgers are ok, but the fish 'n chip is rather mediocre.

Arrived an hour before a game we wanted to see which was advertised in the pub. Half hour before the game we asked for the channel on one of their many screens to be changed. Half an hour after kick off we were still waiting, after at least 6 requests had been made. Woefully understaffed, girl behind the bar was... More

After visiting an exhibition at the Royal Academy, I was looking for a bite to eat and a good pint of ale before catching the train home (I live near Manchester). I happened upon the Rising Sun entirely by chance after popping up from the tube at Tottenham Court Road. I wasn't expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised! First,... More

Called in for a few beers, there was a great atmosphere with football being shown on the TV screens.

Came here to pass time football was on so why not. This place is lovely, warm and welcoming and reasonably priced too. Worth a visit even if just like this occasion was to pass the time ;-)

This pub has a very friendly staff. The food is good and the pints are cold. They remodeled since I was there last year. Great fun place

We went here our last night in London and the food was the best we had all trip (until we hit Italy, but that's not the same). My son had some sort of beef and ale pie and I had a chicken pie and they were both to die for. I also had a really nice raspberry cider.

Well thank you very much Ivy. We are very glad to hear you enjoyed your time here at the Rising Sun. We agree that the pies are too die for and I will pass your compliments on to our fantastic kitchen team. If you find yourself in London again, please do pop in for some more yummyness. All the best... More

Never seen so much attitude on a barmaid. Didn't want to be there and plain rude. Plenty of decent pubs just around the corner
