I have to say, that we loved the food here, everything was tasty what we've ordered. As you can see in other comments, yes, you will have to wait for the food, but for this we were kind of happy, it means the food is fresh. In other countries its normal to wait for the food in a restaurant, in... More

This is the second South American restaurant on Essex Road and right next to the other one - don't know if they did it on purpose or not! :-) The food was really good and the service quite nice. We went for the a-la-carte menu and had some lovely chow. The drinks were good and we enjoyed the overall experience.

This place has the best Peruvian food I've had before. Fantastic ceviches and Pisco Sours. I'm definitely coming back. Downside for me was the service. Waiters are no well trained. The owner is around, but he also doesn't take the service to a very professional standard. Bottom line, improve the service and you will be on my favourite list.

We ate early on a weeknight so the restaurant was very quiet (but people arrived as we were leaving around 8), but the place itself is very comfy and homely. The service was great, with the waiter and owner both being friendly and accommodating. And the food was fresh and delicious- friend plantains and then a large shared platter was... More

I've walked past this restaurant many times, but finally ate there today for the first time, using a really good Groupon deal they have running. The waiter was very courteous - he made us feel at home straight away, and relaxed. I do like calm service like this, it makes a big difference. The food was delicious. I had a... More

We were at Tierra Peru for dinner and absolutely like it. We have two types of cebiche, prawns and octopus as starter to share and everything was amazing. As main course we have ordered different meals: seco de cordero, lomo saltado and tacacho y chicharron. It was so delicious. And of course Pisco Sour, Peruvian beer and Malbec. Very friendly... We had a late dinner consisting of a "quinotto" which is like a vegetarian risotto but made from quinoa as well as a plantain chips and salsa. Another dish was Chicarrone de Cerdo a kind of pork stew with sweet potato and cassava--the meat was a little tough. I am still rating as very good given the other things we... More
