Visited this wonderful bar after the theatre. My goodness..was not disappointed. Everything about this bar shouts class and beauty. The cocktails were just wonderful and the service matches in every way Prices are ridiculous but hey...if you only visit once pay the bill! Loved it.

The American Bar or is it called the Beaufort Bar? Whatever, enter the Savoy, go up the stairs to the left and you will find a piano bar with tasteful music, oysters served with a martini or perhaps champagne. Perfect for after a show.

My husband and I had a pre-dinner drink here and were enchanted by the high standard of the service and choice of drinks available. The atmosphere is refined without being snobbish although some may not like the fact that the room has no windows. This venue is recommended to anyone looking for privacy and is probably one of the best... More

Beautiful art deco bar decorated in black and gold. Waitresses in lovely drop waisted black dresses with gold embroidery to add to the feel you've stepped back in time to the1920's! Extensive cocktail list and great pianist and singer. Great for a posh date night! Probably our favourite London bar, closely followed by the American bar at the Savoy.

We popped in on the spur of the moment for a Saturday afternoon cocktail- we received great service in a quality environment. Our cocktail was so delicious that we had another! Highly recommended.

A friend and I popped in for post-theatre cocktails. What a treat. It's not so much a drink as a theatrical experience in itself, complete with accompaniments to suit the drinks ("caviar" made from tiny dark chocolate balls and a beautiful damask rose presented in a bowl of smoking dry ice), plus nibbles topped up without being asked for. Arrived late (we did call to make a reservation) after a girlie lunch. Cocktails are wonderful, of course!! Staff, very discreet. Unlike the bar at Claridges, it's not touristy. Highly recommended.

A great late night relaxing lounge. The prices are high but match the service and decor. Highly recommended when in the Stand.

We had a lovely lunch at the Savoy Bar. Food was really spectacular in presentation and was quite delicious. Portions were definitely 'luncheon sized' so if you have a healthy appetite you may need an extra course. We wanted to share several items and our server was most accommodating. Best to make a booking if possible as the restaurant was... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
