Took my mother out for dinner, had the vegan soy burger which was very light yet satisfyingly filling. We were greated by the lovely host Natalia who took fantastic care of care us making sure both me and my mother were safe an comfortable, good...to see good hygiene I'm place. I myself was most taken by the caring and beautiful Irish chap Mark behind the bar! He was almost as delicious as the burger!More
The service was great and attentive in general but after a positive start in the form of tender buffalo wings with blue cheese dip as a shared starter, I was dismayed to find a chewy sweet potato hash with Manchego cheese topped with an egg...whose yolk had set and looked like it was past its prime. In contrast my husband’s extra fried egg to his chicken schnitzel was spot on - it felt as if they didn’t time it right and my dish was sacrificed while waiting for his to finish cooking. I mentioned it to the waitress who said she’d pass it on but no gesture of any sort. Call me picky but don’t use Manchego if it’s going to sit there waiting for other dishes to be ready. Not pleased at all as my first dining out experience after lockdown.More
This is one of Fuller's flagship pubs. Often busy with live music on certain evenings.
Tasty meals are available and there is a good variety of Fuller's ales as well as a varied roster of independent craft beers.
Again, I tried to have a quiet pint after a hard day’s work. Again, impossible. There are kids running around screaming - and I mean literally screaming - and the staff are just ignoring it. They are shattering the peace. It’s not the kids’ fault...- it’s the fault of the parents but moreso the staff. Get a grip guys - this is a pub, not Macdonalds.More

Many thanks for the additional feedback. While I appreciate your comments on the children are quite right we did speak to the parents on two occasions on the day and the second time made it clear they needed to keep their children under...More
I LOVED the open mike night held at this venue. The staff were so friendly ...I was served by a lady called Saisha ,behind the bar ... she gave me really good Advise on what to choose on the menu .... I was then stunned...to see her jump up on the mike and sing !!! I’m new to the area and feel so happy I’ve found a nice local pub near by that is welcoming.
Definitely going to attend the next open mike
I hope Saisha is there 😊 fantastic voice !!More
