Traditional pub, that we have gone to several times. The food is great, atmosphere is nice and 'local' although not overly relaxing especially when a Rugby or Football match is on, which gets shown on several TV screens. On this visit, I fancied a nice cup of tea after my food, to learn they don't serve hot drinks. I have... More

We met members of our family there for a drink on a Sunday evening. There is a nice selection of drinks to choose from and if it is busy there is another room upstairs where you can escape for a bit of peace and it also has a pool table.

A very busy local pub offering good food and atmospheric london pub, I also spend New Years eve by coincidence and have enjoyed myself totally requesting even my favourite songs. We danced there as a special occasion until the early hours of New years day 2016, highly recommended.

The kind and friendly staff guided two jet-lagged Americans through the proper process for ordering. It was an act of supreme self control not to go back every night of our visit for the poached eggs with spinach, mushrooms, and potatoes. We loved the food, beer, and decor - 19th-century(?)tiles on the stairs going up to the second floor seating... More

This is a pub that has a great atmosphere and a lively, friendly clientele. Lots of outdoor seating makes it great in summer. The food is simple but very good pub fare. The small dishes are very tasty, good value and great to share. It can get rammed so good to get there early if you want to sit down.

What an interesting place to eat ! The decor was eclectic and unique, this created a wonderful imaginative vibe. Used books lined the window sills and teapots hung from the ceiling, very welcoming. I loved the idea of board games before dinner, just ask over the counter. This was a very family friendly place. At our table we had Pork... More
