I do not give 5* easily but this pub just squeaks in. Beautifully kept Fullers beers, excellent no nonsense British food, with all the trimmings, and a traditional wood-panelled bar and dining room, all pleasantly served with a big smile. Nothing too much trouble - Le beurre, l’argent du beurre et le sourire de la crémière! Can’t fault it a wonderful moment se bonheur 7 minutes walk from Victoria Station....

I would recommend the Jugged Hare pub to anyone looking for traditional British cuisine, a short walk from Buckingham Palace and the Apollo Victoria Theatre. The Jugged Hare is part of the Fuller's Pub Group operating since 1845. This is a lovely pub situated opposite Victoria Station and close to the Tate Britain Gallery. The pub offers a wide range of drinks, including Fuller's favorites such as London Pride and ESB, as well as craft lagers such as Frontier. London Pride won the title of Supreme Champion in the International Beer and Cider Competition in 2000. The Jugged Hare Pub could be the perfect place for a pre-theatre dinner or if you fancy a traditional Sunday roast! Today I went in to have a drink with friends. I ordered an Espresso Martini cocktail for ÂŁ10.50. Espresso Martini is a delicious cocktail that combines the rich taste of coffee with the smoothness of vodka and the sweetness of coffee liqueur. There are several claims regarding the origins of the espresso martini. One of the more common claims is that it was created by Dick Bradsell in the late 1980s in London. Richard Arthur Bradsell was a British bartender known for his innovative work with cocktails, including the creation of many new drinks now considered modern classics. The Observer described him as "the king of cocktails". Bradsell has been recognized for inventing several new cocktails, including the Espresso Martini. My velvety smooth cocktail prepared by the bartender at The Jugged Hare Pub had a rich and delightful flavor, offering a harmonious combination of freshly brewed espresso, and the sweetness of the coffee liqueur with notes of vanilla and caramel. My overall experience at The Jugged Hare was truly amazing and I would recommend it to anyone whether they are going to dine, watch sports or just have a drink. The Jugged Hare is an inviting spot that serves great food and beer in stylish surroundings, with high ceilings and chandeliers offering clues to the building's rich past.

Searching the internet for eateries near the Park Plaza Victoria, we came across The Jugged Hare, a pub that was once a bank and less than 5 minutes away. We went for an early dinner and loved it. Very stylish surroundings with chandeliers, high ceilings, dark wood furniture and panellings, and gold and burgundy wallpaper. As for the food! We had the Steak and Ale Pie with shortcrust pastry, red wine gravy, and mashed potatoes, followed by a superb Sticky Toffee Pudding served with salted caramel ice cream. Ohh, bliss! Service was excellent, too.

Went to this pub on Sunday for a roast- we arrived at 3pm the time our table was booked, we ordered drinks a whole bottle of Prosecco and some beers and when we went to order food 20 minutes later we was told “no roasts left” with not even so much of an apology, when we said why wasn’t we told when we arrived we were told “we didn’t know then it ran out 10 minutes ago” no apology, I understand that food can run out but this pub serves 4 different types of roast and ALL of them ran out. Terrible service we wouldn’t of ordered drinks if we was aware food was going to be an issue, we should’ve been told when we ordered drinks that roasts were running low so order quickly, we should’ve also been told when the roasts ran out and not found out only when we went to the bar. Terrible terrible service staff couldn’t care less, a birthday has been ruined because of staff incompetence, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as it seems they can’t cater properly for their demand.

This was not our first visit to this establishment and certainly will not be our last when we get the opportunity to travel overseas and visit London. The establishment makes you feel part of the English pub scene by its decor and friendly bar staff. We tried all the pub standards during our visit including the fish and chips and pasties but nothing can top the Sunday roast beef dinner.

I’ve visited here a couple of times recently and I’ve been really impressed both times. The pub is comfortable and has a great atmosphere but feels very Covid safe. The drinks are fairly priced and the food is great! But the best thing about this pub is the staff - every single member of staff who I’ve interacted with has been really friendly, kind and efficient. I will definitely be back and would recommend The Jugged Hare to anyone!

I've now spent two evenings with friends at The Jugged Hare. Both times it was lovely. The first time we were served by Mo, who couldn't have been more helpful. I don't know whether he is still there, but all the staff are efficient and pleasant. The interior of the pub is lovely and traditional, and once inside you quickly forget you are on a busy road. The food is good standard pub food, it doesn't take long to arrive and, in the case of our group, was gobbled up by all and much enjoyed. A really nice pub to meet up and talk over a meal.

On our first night in London, blurry-eyed and jetlagged, we stumbled from our hotel in Pimlico to find this terrific pub and restaurant. For someone from the U.S., the Jugged Hare looks like every British pub of your imagination (that statement is a bit fanciful, I know). And the food lives up to the ambiance. We ordered at the bar and the food was brought out to our table. We didn’t have a full, proper meal (due to said jetlag) but our variety of small plates and sides were quite delicious. The avocado bruschetta was fresh and the chips and seasonal veg were welcomed friends. We discovered later that Rick Steves recommends this neighborhood place in his guidebook, which was a fun reverse recommendation that I can easily agree with.

From our offices in Victoria the Jugged Hare was chosen as viable location for the departmental dinner/drinks catch up. The pub was clean and spacious, food was excellent, the drinks well served, and with impeccable friendly service. The Beer garden door could have been closed as it was a bit cold that evening being the only negative. A great evening. Currently under newish management.

What a wonderful team here. A friend and I met here yesterday after almost a year of not seeing each other. I coached up from Bristol and my friend traveled across town. We ate lunch and had a few drinks - the time passed so quickly. The day was already great however the staff here really made it a day to remember. Both Hugo and FIA were so friendly, warm and welcoming, it made our whole experience quite exceptional. From the casual check ups, light conversation and attentiveness, these two people delivered a level of service that can’t be taught. Keep it up you guys and Fullers, you have st least two superstars here - as well as the perfectly kept and served London Pride. You certainly should have pride in these two. See you again!

Nice pub not far from Victoria Station and Theatres. Staff are friendly and welcoming and they have a good selection of beers, cocktails, spirits and wine. Food here is great and they have a really good Sunday roast well worth the money. They also have a beer garden if you want to sit outside.

worst place to eat. they treat employees like zero. shame. Chef Jarosław has a problem. when he went out for a cigarette, I asked why he insulted the employee. everything was heard in the room, curses and how he called people idiots and morons. after my question, Jaro started cursing at me and ran to the other side of the street. I am a student of the University of London and I assure you that none of my friends will come to this place.

Fantastic and fabulous staff. We booked an event and it went really well. The room was perfect and staff really lovely and kind and looked after us. We will definitely come back for drinks and meal and another event and our group really liked the pub and the friendliest of staff.

Pub and ambience was nice however the food was very disappointing! Both starters we had were very underwhelming and the rarebit just embarrassingly poor. Main courses were average … unfortunately won’t be returning . Staff very nice though!

Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
