The duck dish I had was the house special 'Castle Duck' which was unexceptional of taste but very special of price. £10! And watch out for their bottles of beer. I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen for a year so we yakked and had a few bottles of Kingfisher/Cobra. The beer tab far exceeded even the specially priced... More

Been eating here for a few months, can't beat the chicken and spinach saag chicken dish, the best I have had anywhere. Staff friendly and decor dated but clean. For the price you can't go wrong. The music does seem to be on a loop. Very old school indian restaurant where the food comes first .

I walked to this restaurant after reading Trip Advisor reviews- which are totally false. It's the worst East Indian Food I ever had. Correction you can't even call it East Indian food. Restaurant needs a major overhaul and cleaning. When we got to the restaurant at dinner time the place was empty. I recommend you don't eat here.

Fab food, extremely reasonably priced, great service and lovely atmosphere. Don't be put off by the exterior- the food here is excellent value for money and totally authentic. I'd go as far to say it's better than Dishoom or most of what I've had on Brick Lane. Rare "old-school" London diamond!

Was there for a dinner. I found the place quite comfortable, green furniture that helped me to relax after a wole day walking in the city. Service is fast (within 10 minutes you have your dish), I ordered a goat meat and rice. Well, very good for its standards. Pinapple juice was very tasty. PRice are really competitive.

Delicious food, excellent service and a fair price. The waiter was helpfull with selecting a menu for 4 with a veriaty of dishes. The desserts ordered afterwards were very tastfull but frozen, so maybe you should make your choices earlier.

Stopped here one night after traveling back from Liverpool. My wife ran a half there. We were hungry, It was getting late ,and the grocery was closed. My wife and I love curry but are hesitant when it's not recommended to us. We ordered for our two 10 year olds from the burger place a couple doors down. Then moseyed... More

We wandered in here in March after having a couple of beers at the Coronet downstairs. I wasn't expecting too much as it looks pretty drab outside and and wasn't very busy, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Food was super tasty - butter chicken, naan, chicken tikka and rice and a couple of drinks - and the price was... More

We were after an Indian and on looking on trip advisor we found our nearest was the Castle Tandoori. After reading the reviews we did not expect much. The decor was very indian, clean and nice. The food was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the starter and main. I would highly recommend the broccoli and panneer starter. Meal was very reasonable.... More
