We came here after visiting The Tower of London as its just over the road. It was packed but we were still able to get a table. Its a nice, old fashioned style pub with fires and dark wood. The food is the usual Weatherspoons fare. I had a burger which actually didn't taste or feel cooked but it was... More

We visited here last week and managed to find a table because the pub was so crowded. We had the steak and Ale pies , fish and chips and mixed grills. The food was excellent and great value for money. The food was cooked well and was delicious. You can always rely on a Wetherspoons for a decent and tasty... More

What can I say, the wife and I go to London 5 or 6 times a year for long weekends. Every time we go we end up here at least one of the days. Food and beer are really good value and it's in a great location. The only word of warning is it gets very busy so at peak... More

Came for a breakfast, unfortunately didn't have egg's Benedict, which was a bit disappointing, but the traditional breakfast healed the wound! Overall quite nice, and given the price, not bad at all!

As usual, a trip to any Wetherspoons offers good value, fast service and decent food. The unusual thing about this particular one is that its actually below river level once you get in as it is located alongside Camden Lock. So, you sit at your table and the water outside is at eye level which is quite an unusual way... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
