We visited on a hot Tuesday night and were relieved to be able to sit in the cool garden which seemed a world away from the busy Holloway Road. Having recently toured Provence for two weeks, we were setting La Muse quite a task. They passed with flying colours: the staff were friendly, relaxed but extremely efficient; the wine was... More

Delicious dinner! They have an excellent Steak Tartare, and a very tasty wine. Simple but beautiful outdoor space. Very nice waiter 5 stars!

Found this restaurant on line while looking for a suitable place to eat before a gig at nearby venue The Garage in Highbury. The restaurant is small but has an intimate charm. There are tables in the garden area to the rear of the building. We arrived without a booking however were warmly welcomed. We did not feel rushed and... More

I don't really want to write a glowing review of La Muse because other people will find out about it and I won't be able to get a table easily in the future. However, here goes. This place is just wonderful. The menu is very small but authentically French and just lovely. Watching the three-person team in the middle of... More

We took our team out for a meal at La Muse. At first on entering the restaurant we were a little worried as it is very small and more like a cafe. However, the staff were really lovely and set up a large table for us in the garden. The food was excellent and really exceeded our expectations. Good honest... More

You could easily wander past this place on Holloway road but it is definitely worth stopping in. Simple food, cooked very well in a nice place.

I came a few months ago with friends and truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. We began with a selection of charcuterie and a fragrant camembert fondue, perfect antidote to the cold grim day. I chose the rabbit leg with veggies, mash and sausage as a main. Not only was I blown away by the rabbit (which is... More

A small but exceptionally good restaurant with authentic French food and friendly staff. We take a lot of visitors there and all love it . We have been there for brunch, lunch and dinner. Excellent steak and frites as well! In the summer there is a small garden as well which is great for wine and nibbles.

I walked past this restaurant many times, but never thought about visiting. From the outside it looks small and unsophisticated. In reality, it's good value for money and a safe place for French food and wine, with a really attentive, flexible and friendly service. The internal area is small, so it's better to reserve. But they have a big open... More

A little gem right on the Holloway road close to Highbury and Islington station. A lovely little independent, shabby chic, arty and very relaxed restaurant serving food cooked with passion for food. The menu changes frequently following the seasons but continually with French cooking as the heart of the menu. With the addition of daily specials there is always more to explore as the charcuterie which provides you with imported French gourmet products such as cheeses, saucissons and cured hams (Also available to buy to take out). There is also an extensive all French wine list with 16 wines served by the glass to suit every taste. We use locally sourced products and only the best ingredients (local butchers etc) At the back is a fantastic walled garden ideal for spring and summer times.
