We stumbled upon this restaurant while making our way back to our hotel from the British Museum. It was a Friday evening and we had already been turned away from a few restaurants for lack of reservations or long wait. When we entered the restaurant it was also crowded and we thought we would be turned away again. However, the... More

I'm not sure you'll beat this.... 3 course lunch or dinner just off a short walk away from Covent Garden and the theatres..£13.95.......really good choice of starters and mains and the menu changes monthly ! I had a good portion of whitebait to start and a galette for mains (buckwheat savoury pancake) Both were hot and well presented. Apple crumble... More

I use this branch of the popular french brasserie chain for lunches, breakfast and the odd dinner. The food is always consistent and prepared well. Never have i ordered anything that isn't up to par in this particular branch. Great breakfast, great lunch and a buzzy atmosphere. What i admire most abut this restaurant is the staff. professional, friendly and... More

A pre-theatre lunch for two - arrived at 12.45 and it was heaving. This has to be one of the most consistent restaurants groups in the South. Went for the usual set lunch - on this occasion a starter and a main. The soup was, as usual, very tasty and the largest whitebait I have seen was obviously freshly cooked.... More

This standby in the West End offers a pre-theater two or three course dinner. We had the two course - just L12.50 pp and the accompanying white wine at L4.25 was a most pleasant surprise. The appetizers were a mushroom soup and a feuillete with vegetables, and the mains were salmon cakes and breaded chicken - all most French, and... More

In contrast with my experience at Pizza Express in the Strand this restaurant couldn't be more different.. Entering the restaurant we were greeted and seated almost immediately. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful, the food good and value excellent for pre theatre. Thoroughly recommend this place and convenient for the ENO theatre.

We had a late night dinner here and dropped in without a booking. Food and service was fantastic with a nice simple menu and fresh ingredients. Wine list was also great and reasonably priced. We had the onion soup for starter which was lovely and I had steak with peppercorn sauce and french fries - the meat was tender and... More

Went here for a small Family lunch, lovely atmosphere, buzzy kind of place and very centrally located. The fixed price lunch menu is great value for money, really tasty food and the choice is well balanced. The service is great and all of the staff very attentive, thoroughly recommended.

Dropped in unannounced last night waiting for friends from the ENO. Great service from the outset, seated quickly, drinks and food orders immediately taken and delivered no long after. Sirloin steaks were full of flavour and desserts were delicious. I will repeat the fact that the service was so good as it makes such a refreshing change, even when asking... More

This central restaurant is slap bang in the middle of Theatre Land. It does a lunch time and pre-theatre menu at only £12.50 for two courses or £13.95 for three. A bargain! The service was efficient. Staff smiles and were helpful. The decor is pleasant. We ate whitebait and a goat's cheese tart to begin. Both were tasty and well... More

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities.
Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly
