I was very disappointed with the service. My friends and I had a meh dinner somewhere else and were honest in saying we just wanted dessert. There were plenty of empty tables in the dining area but we were told we could not sit there...More

I got a tip from a local colleague about this pub. I am glad I made it. Had some really good beer cheap as. Be patient as the place seems to be always packed. Considering the fantastic interior, I was way to busy and impressed...More

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. No problem finding a table at this time of day. Beautiful historic pub both exterior and interior. Food was good quality. I certainly enjoyed my steak pie. Service was good as well.

I stopped in for an after work beverage and the place was already packed, but look closely around and you are likely to find a small available table. The tables also rotate pretty fast. Many customers stand and socialize at the bar or take a...More

Decided to visit after finding it on internet, and liked the look of the interior. Is very interesting and unusual from the outside and inside is decorated beautifully with Henry Poole's Art Nouveau reliefs reflecting the friary that once stood there. Rang up at about...More

Back in the day this place was due for demolition as London was being updated. Well good call to leave it well alone. Fantastic art deco interior and the Blackfriar statue makes you smile. Stick with the Fullers London Pride for a quality beer. I...More

Good food, nice setting, only thing better would be if they would prepare an order to take away. We asked the young man behind the counter and he told us we could not do that here. So, dine-in is apparently the only option.

The Blackfriar is a traditional London Pub with interesting copper etchings on the walls, a great place to stop by.

A friend had recommended The Blackfriar, so we went for an early supper. My husband and I both ordered the fish and chips and they were quite good. Nice beer selection, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
