What a great view from the Skylounge on top of the Hilton Doubletree hotel last night. It was a great evening spoiled however by the ludicrous behaviour of the management. Is it normal be charged a 12% service charge for ordering drinks at the bar these days? We all have the right to decline a service charge if we don't... More

Wonderful outside area for a cocktail - Attended here on a hen party and had a lovely evening. The weather helped though! Views were great of the tower and bridge. Bit pricey but you are in London!

Spend the evening on the veranda enjoying the sunset and overlooking the city with a Hendricks and cue. Service was a little slow bit it was a Saturday evening. Ordered a mixed platter with meats and cheese. Only complaint was not enough crackers!

Popped into the Skylounge when we were arranging a stay at the Hilton Hotel. It was a lovely day so clearly our visit was enhanced by the fantastic views across Tower Bridge and the rest of London. The drinks menu was extensive with a wide choice of wines, spirits and cocktails. Pricy but you are in a good hotel enjoying... More

There is a good buzz all day at this bar situated on the 12th floor of the hotel. The terrace is very comfortable and well worth visiting with friends or on business. Fast, efficient and friendly service enhances the experience.

Had a lovely visit to Skylounge. Meals were reasonably priced, drinks a little expensive but was expecting that. Views made up for it, as well as the lovely surprise of a selection of cakes, complimentary, to celebrate my husbands birthday.

Good views from here but the drinks are expensive in my opinion. A glass of wine is £2 more than the lobby bar in the same hotel. The service was quick and friendly and bar food is available but we did not have any so cannot comment.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
