I'm an international traveler working doing consulting work and i've visited this part of London many times over the last 5 years. This is one of my favorite go to Indian restaurants. I've been to the most expensive Indian and other restaurants in the city, like Benares or others in Mayfair, but the quality of the food and service at... More

Mango is located just round the corner from Borough Market and London Bridge. The restaurant is quite small, but there's enough space that it's not often full. The curries were really good: reasonable portions and some of the nicest tasting flavours I've had in a while. The service was friendly, if not a little slow for the usual London standard.... More

Would highly recommend this Indian Restaurant. Twice I have been and twice the food and service has been excellent. On first occasion was on a business trip to London and a colleague recommended this place. It is small and when we arrived without booking, needless to say we were informed that we could get a table in an hour. So... More

Terrific back-up option to the always fun Borough Market. We arrived too late for the Borough and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem tucked away down a narrow street. We didn't have any reservations but they found a tight spot for us. We just beat the busiest time but found the service was attentive and we didn't feel rushed.... More

We booked here on our first night of a four night stay in Southwark. After a day of sightseeing we arrived an hour early as we were starving. The restaurant is tucked away in a tatty side street but don't let that put you off. The interior is beautiful and cosy and service was excellent, they were happy to accomodate... More

Was lucky enough to eat here last night, didn't have a booking but the very kind and helpful staff managed to squeeze us in. The food and service was amazing, one of the best jalfrezi's that I have ever eaten.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
