we went there for dinner and the whole experience was just perfect! The restaurant looks amazing and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. They were taking care of every single detail. We ordered croquettes and a salad as starters and we loved both. Then we got our seabass and steak! Not only the presentation... More

Do not go there - very average service (we got served our starters and mains at the same time!!!), but most importantly, both my partner and I where sick straight after I think due to the poor quality of food and hygiene. We even got served dirty cutlery. Definitely there are loads of better options in the area!!

We went to the henry root on Friday, to celebrate my partners birthday, we had a brilliant experience! Food was all delicious, starters all great, we had croquettes, fishcakes and the parfait! Followed by a beautifully cooked cote de boeuf, halibut and lobster! All incredible! Desserts were all great as well! We started the night with glasses of prosecco and... More

One of our favourite haunts has reopened after a makeover and we LOVED it. Fresh look with a tasty new menu that hit the spot and will definitely continue to be one of our favourite places to eat and hang out with friends.

I went for lunch with a friend today, and I often drop in as the restaurant is open from breakfast onwards. The food was delicious, and the lovely wooden tables are beautifully laid with smart cutlery, napkins and flowers - yet the atmosphere is informal. I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. Dogs welcome... More

I did not know this restaurant until I was invited there for a friend's birthday party meal. It was a large table (perhaps 15 diners?) but we were accommodated with ease in their pleasantly modern (and I understand recently refurblshed) dining room, with plenty of space between us and other diners. The staff coped superbly and relaxedly with people keeping... More

I love this restaurant. It has such a community vibe to it with local's going all the time! I love this in a restaurant as it gives it something unique! I had the chicken liver pate and crab to start, both delicious. For mains I had the lamb with lentils. So so yummy! Definitely go if you want a quite... More

This restaurant has a very complete menu with many different options. Flavours are out of this world and the presentation is perfect in every dish. I would really recommend the fish cakes! So tasty! The new Henry Root just looks amazing. We had dinner at the back of the restaurant with a stunning glass ceiling. We thought it would be... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
