Service was excellent, professional and friendly. The octopus and the squid entrees were spot on. The gnocchi was soft and melted in your mouth. The sea bass was a decent size proportion but a little waxy in texture and the mussels chewy. It felt that the seafood on this specific dish was not fresh but has been frozen. I would... More

I visited the restaurant on the 6th August for my father's 60th birthday party. We had pre-booked and had been liasing with Leandro on the build up to the day. Menu's, amount of guests etc. Leandro and the team were very accommodating. On the evening of my dad's birthday we were given the cellar/basement area which we had to ourselves... More

This restaurant is superb. The service was excellent and the food and wine delicious. They also do a good range of aperitifs and after dinner cocktails. I had the octopus starter, which was the best I've had. I highly recommend this place.

With the head waiter Sicilian this is a slightly different Italian menu but the food is to die for. As we live by the Mediterranean at home I went for Sardines as a starter and wild sea Bass as a main and boy the chef certainly knows how to cook fish. The rest of the party had a variety of... Cosy little Italian. Though saying that there is plenty of seating both outside, inside and also downstairs. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Reasonable price for set lunch menu. Delicious pasta. Loved the cheesecake Would recommend

A quiet supper during England's humiliating defeat to Iceland. Good location and sat in the inside were it was cooler. Good menu, steaks and lamb were excellent, but it did not really feel like an authentic Italian restaurant. We spent a pleasant evening and were able to talk to the staff about their wine list, which was wide, varied and... More

Visited Bellaria one evening last week, with a Tastecard (a two-for-one dining promotional card). After trying to book a table here for several months, only to be met with excuses ('We don't accept Tastecard tonight', 'We need two hours notice' etc), we finally managed to book. The location is excellent - in the heart of Fitzrovia, with tables outside to... More

For the benefit of those reading the review just left on our Tripadvisor page , there's few things i must clarify in order to unleash the truth behind these insinuations: First of all , as well written and specified on the Taste Card deal we're working with , is up to our establishment if accepting or not the Taste Card... One sunny weekday evening we decided to dine at a local Italian. Being locals, we know the area very well, and had wondered why we'd never been here before. We soon realised why they're hardly ever busy. Firstly, the menu. Prices are extortionate. Even for London, this is too high. Expect to pay twice as much as a comparable meal... More

Making assumptions is something we all do in many areas of our lives. An assumption is “something taken for granted or accepted as true without proof.” In other words, it is belief without proof. The size of our dishes are just the very same and yet identical , with or without the Tastecard use , I'd like to inform you... More

Great corner setting. Good atmosphere inside. Was a weekday hence not too busy, which made it better from a family perspective as we were not sure of the kid friendly side especially as it was last minute. It of course turned out to be a good choice. Good staff - service with a smile. We all loved it and would... More

Description
Charmingly unique, Bellaria Restaurant and Wine Bar in Fitzrovia is a must for those tired of the same typical Italian dining experience. From street level Bellaria looks like a simple Italian restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The best seats in the house are by the wide windows where you can sit and watch the world go by. However, a few steps below and guests are transported to a whole other world. Bellaria's basement is straight out of a fairytale - its bare stone walls, with their arches, nooks and crannies complemented by chandeliers, mirrors, and low lighting, enhance the atmospheric ambience. It is the ideal setting for romance and a real surprise to everyone who discovers it. Sophisticated and contemporary, our menu makes good use of authentic Italian ingredients to produce elegant and creative dishes ranging from pastas and risottos to steaks and fish. To complement our delicious food we have created a long list of excellent wines
