Superior service and a very special way to enjoy refreshments before the ballet and during the interval. Expensive but a very special treat.

We've eaten in the Balcony Restaurant 3-4 times in the last year. Its a really nice way to complete the evening; and you get a great people watching view of the comings and goings in the bar area below. If booking ahead, simply book and order your meal choice online at the same time. Be careful which seating area you... More

First of all, eating in this restaurant is an occasion in itself. Spectacular design within a spectacular building. Secondly, the food is absolutely fantastic. Finally the service; brilliant! It has to be here, they must work around the performances. It isn't cheap, but it's worth it.

Everything was perfect at this pre-show meal. The organisation was spot on, the staff highly professional but very friendly, and the food excellent. Worth every penny.

We eat here several times and year and the standard keeps getting better. It is hugely expensive actually, but it's a captive market and so opera-lovers just have to pay. The long-serving staff are excellent and welcome you back with enthusiasm. It is best to pre-order and they cook both fish and meat very well. Trip Advisor should separate out... More

The bar and restaurant are part of the Royal Opera House and is a lovely room with glass ceiling etc. We pre ordered sandwiches for the interval of the opera we were attending. It was really hard to find them as they were put to the back of the Hall in a dark corner with no seating standing room only.... More

Many visits to this atmospheric restaurant over the years for pre performance dinning and It has to be one of the best internal views of all the London venues. It enjoys the most amazing buzz of pre performance atmosphere with the views down and around of the floral hall. Food, drink and service all very smart, as you would expect... More

We eat here because it's extremely convenient when at the opera or ballet, but I don't think we'd pay these prices for this food/service if it weren't in the ROH. That said, there's plenty of great things to say about our meal and experience, but tempered by a few not so good things which at these sorts of prices bring... More
