Wonderful dog friendly gastro pub. Food service and atmosphere were lovely and the setting ( right on the edge of the common) made it perfect for Sunday lunch and then a walk. Cant wait to return.

Booked for lunchtime for four. Nice ambience and busy, service was very good, well looked after for drinks. The food was good, although not big portions if you're very hungry but we had three courses anyway, which i easily put away. Meals varied between steak,...More

Over priced, very slow service an the food was cold. Pretty disappointing all in all, especially when it wasn't overly busy.

I probably go here 2/3 times a year. Last time was for a 6 Nations Rugby game. Sat at the bar, had a couple of great beers, and a great Roast Beef and watched the game. Perfect Sunday lunch!

Yes, there is a limited children's menu.
As this review states that the Restaurant is next door to the stables in the Village it must refer to the Dog & Fox as theFox & Grapes is on the Common not near either stables in the Village

We have asked the guest if this so, just awaiting a response. Plus our Roast beef is never Grey or thinly sliced....
