We had a marvellous afternoon having Afternoon Tea here. The service was excellent and welcoming. The restaurant was so bright and airy even though we went on a rainy day. We forgot it was raining out because of that. The tea was delicious as well as the food. The cakes were wonderful! We loved it!

If your stuck waiting for someone at Charing Cross this hotel has a lovely cosy bar to wait and have a very nice glass of wine in, prices not too bad at all and somewhere that a lady would feel quite safe to drink in alone. First floor in the hotel very friendly staff

The Terrace is is on the first floor of the Amba Hotel and has large windows along the width of the restaurant which makes it very light and airy. It also has an oblique view of Nelson's Column. My friends and I had the 3 course evening menu at £24.99 and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food... More

We ate here recently on our way home as it was close to Charing Cross and we had a lovely time here on Boxing Day. Last Thursday we had a lovely meal with lovely views and it reminded me that I had forgotten to review our Boxing Day meal which was so nice and enjoyable. We were a party of... More

My husband and I went to this hotel for afternoon tea, we were greeted by very attentive staff at the reception then at the restaurant. The hotel is very old and beautiful having kept a lot of its original features. We sat in the enclosed terrace with view of the Strand, really lovely and relaxing. The cocktail was very nice and there... More

My friend and I went there at 3.30 pm .... we saw delicious plates of sandwiches and delicate cakes on silver tiered stands being serviced .... but we hadn't eaten breakfast yet so we opted for a glass of Tattinger Rosé champagne and an avocado and pancetta salad. We were served by Konrad and Presoy and we could not have... More

I received a voucher from a friend for afternoon tea for two. We arrived a bit early so waited in the bar and were treated to a complimentary drink. The afternoon tea was wonderful.. lovely sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and scones. The staff were so attentive and polite. My 11 year old daughter couldn't have the alcoholic berry cocktail so they... WHITTAKER family of four.We visited here on Sunday 19th June as a finale to a weekend in London. Absolutely wonderful. Staff couldn't have done more for us--even boxed our remaining cakes to take home with us. The jar of Pimms was scrumptious. Thank you for making our trip lovely.

I recently had a meeting and lunch at this Hotel and the meeting room was excellent although the coffee left a lot to be desired. The room was on the first floor which was accessed by lift or stairs as was the restaurant. Lunch was well laid out and was self service, there were a choice of starters, main courses,... More

Great day at the Amba Hotel , Lovely hotel & great staff, Went there for the faulty towers dining experience, preferred to order drinks from the bar rather than the faulty towers reception room. As was much faster service & no price difference. Recommend the dirty Martini cocktail.
