Delightful small Japanese restaurant in the Wesbury Hotel just off Bond Street. Decorated very attractively and offering top quality range of Japanese food. The service was friendly and attentive and the whole dining experience was top notch. We were there mid week evening and the restaurant was quite quiet. My wife (who recommended it to me) has used it for... More

I dropped in totally unexpectedly at the last minute to grab a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I must admit to finding the menu somewhat confusing but the lovely service and the excellent sushi and sashimi more than made up for this. I just wish that the menu had been more straightforward though as I am sure I would... More

The butter fish with pickled ginger is the highlight. The set menu sushi is the best in London. The Tempura prawns and vegetables are great. Even the broccoli is nice. The exotic pannacota is delicious but runs out fast so order it at the start of your meal. However because it is small and in a hotel it lack ambiance.... More

Restaurant is located in the hotel, just off bond street. Very small restaurant with limited seating. But apart from that the service and food are very good. Quite pricey also. Decor is okay.

Lunch for two, one customer veggie, 6 veggie nigiri, one tofu, one miso, 2 teas. 12 mixed fish nigiris /one yellow tail carpaccio/2 sake caraffes 180ml. The bill was over 150£. Very high quality, but for this price You can have UMU Japanese restaurant, couple of blocks away. No Way!

Hungry from a day of shopping on Oxford and Bond Streets, we saw Tsukiji and decided to try it. After all, the restaurant shares its name with the famous fish market in Tokyo (which is a hoot, if you get the chance to visit). Yes, it's expensive, and yes, it was worth every penny/pence. We had one chirashi and one... More

Had lunch here. The restaurant is really small, you need a reservation, otherwise there's place only at the counter. I had some deep fried soft shell crab as a starter and then some grilled black cod marinated in sweet miso sauce. Both courses tasted excellent! As a desert I had some vanilla cheese cake with yuzu glaze. Also excellent. Service... More

This is tiny restaurant with authentic sushi and attentive service. It feels like private room. It looks awkward that western girls are wearing proper kimono. They used to have oriental waitresses in the past. Restaurant provides good value for lunch but is very expensive for the dinner. Two sushi platters and one duck meal with non alcoholic drinks set us... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
