One of our favourite pubs in London. The draught London Pride was very good.My wife had large VaT's served in a nice glass plenty of ice spot on.The landlady is very good and has a warm welcome. Its always nice to see and talk to the...regulars in any pub. My club sandwich was probably the best I've ever had. Had to have a snack as we we're having a meal that evening. Can't wait till we can visit again.More

This is a warm and welcoming fullers pub with friendly service thats within walking distance of both Victoria train and tube and Knightsbridge tube stations. I hope to return in future to try out the food menu

This is local to work for me and we are so lucky to have this as our 'local'. I came along with the family today and we had some lunch as well. I think it does decent 'pub grub' but my other half felt it...was 'ok' on the food front and hence the 4 stars. For me, for a simple 'fish finger' sandwich and chips with a couple of beers it was perfect. And if you like ales then it is definitely a 5 in my view. There's also a good atmosphere - quite a mixture between the 'regulars' (other side of the rope) and tourists. I have always found staff to be friendly and helpful although kitchen isn't always the quickest on the food front, but they do usually say if they are busy. I'm a big fan.More

Historically interesting maybe but otherwise completely uninspiring. Very average, tepid house wine. Very bland food, poorly presented ; not even what you would call average for pub grub. A soulless place that promises much more than it delivers.

We were wandering aimlessly around Knightsbridge then looked for a nearby pub and stumbled upon The Star Tavern, very cozy and a great place to relax with friends. We loved finding out about the history of the place. Food was very good, and the vegan...chili was delicious!More

Not so crowded as in a private mews. Only called in for a drink so dont know what the food is like but at Xmas time when everywhere was busy this was a little haven to escape to.

We had our office Christmas lunch there today. It was terrible and overpriced. For £28 i got what looked like food straight out of a can. It was quite simply unacceptable. My colleagues had quite a few drinks so didn't quite register, as opposed to...myself who is teetotal. Christmas lunches for big groups i have noticed are getting worse and worse whilst prices increase. The stuff served here was frankly taking the piste. The cook and manager should take note.More

Pre booked a table for 5:45pm as were advised pub would be busy with group booking - arrived, the food pre booked was now not available. Girl behind bar struggled to hear anything that was being said to her. We took our drinks (coke in...a bottle with a straw - nice!) to our table. Girl from bar came over after 30 mins to let us now dinner would be delayed by 45 mins and was that OK. Clearly it wasn't, we were going out to a concert and hadn't been advised of any delay when ordering the food. Then our food arrived 5 minutes later - and it was cold - we didn't complain - what was the point - the kitchen obviously couldn't cope with a large group and downstairs pub diners - and we would have only had to wait again for more food. What a huge shame - nice traditional pub in London that could be brilliant.More

Came across this place and decided to pop in for a couple of pints. Lovely little pub with tons of character. Service was good and a good range of beer. The only problem being he smell of the sewer around the bar!

What a wonderful cozy pub located in the midst of embassy row. We were a tying just a few blocks away at the Park Tower. What we wanted and found is a place that offered excellent homemade pub food
