Living an hour North of London, we now see it as a pleasant place for an occasional day out trip, especially if our destination is a bit special. We found the Terrace earlier in the summer and put it our list of "must try". And we're delighted we did - great cocktails and very tasty burger and chips. All in... More

This review is for the roof terrace bar rather than the indoor venue. On a boiling hot day I was glad to sit in the shade and watch the world go by whilst enjoying an ice cold cider. The Breton Cidre cost £5 a bottle which isn't bad for the location. There is a lovely atmosphere with gentle music and... More

What a great space for a restaurant, plenty of room, right by the river and good central location. Food was fresh, well cooked but a bit expensive e.g. £16 for fish and chip, drinks also fairly expensive. In part this is acceptable for quality of food and location however the place was noisy. Internally great rooms but lots of hard... More

If you are adding a top chef's name to a restaurant then it is reasonable to expect commensurate food. If it did not pretend to be top tier then I probably would have given it 4 stars. While we enjoyed the food , it was no more than good for a "non-name" restaurant. Trading off the name of a celebrated... More

We ordered the 3 courses for £25 at 6pm one evening last week. Just as well we had 3 courses as the main course was tiny! It was fish pie, very nice but not much of it. Could not believe I was charged £9.50 for a glass of wine at the bar before our meal; I was not given a... More

Arrived relatively early for brunch, greeted by a quiet empty restaurant. We were told to arrive early which we did but it looked like they were still setting up despite being open. Once seated it seemed like the staff were more interested in discussing Saturday night antics then serving or even checking if diners were ready to order. If you... More

We took advantage of a £25 offer for 3 courses with cocktail and tea/coffee at this restaurant. When we arrived we were told that due to gas problems they had changed the menu. Not a real problem as the amended menu had things we could eat. Service was good but this was helped by the fact that the restaurant was... More

This is quality food for not too much money. I must say we had a three course meal each accompanied with a bottle of wine and it was just under 100 quid. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is also very good.

Despite some of the reviews, we nevertheless decided to dine here last Thursday. I had mentioned on the on line booking that it was our 15th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we were welcomed with "congratulations, I understand it's your wedding anniversary". We were shown to our table (lovely table next to the window) and the restaurant manager (Federica?) came... More

It was hard to get down to the actually delicious food when the AC didn't work. They had it. It just wasn't turned on. They were very accommodating given the fact that it was dull Monday night. spent nearly 800 pounds there. they worked with us for a bday dinner and brought out a real end of meal treat for... More

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment.
