This is a buzzing yet attractive place to catch up with friends and taste some lovely food. Slightly on a pricey end but nicely presented and matching the atmosphere

this is a central location, parking and maneuvering around can be very tricky its a huge concrete jungle! However, once located and seated this is a wonderful experience of delicious and experience. Delicious, fresh and well presented food with wonderful aroma and presentation but above all healthy and tasty! Enjoy@

Excellent healthy food at a reasonable price. A very good display of food and drink at a reasonable price for a London venue. If the weather is good, sitting outside, is a bonus.

This was a superb restaurant in an iconic venue. The selection of tapas was exceptional and we always made a point of going when were in town. Now it is just a another burger joint - no doubt pretty good if run by Searcy's - but still a burger joint. Does anyone know who ran the concession previously and where... More

Very slow service. Almost impossible to sit because students on laptops spend the day there taking advantage of the free WiFi. Toilets scarce and inaccessible for those with a disability. The one disabled loo usually occupied by able bodied people.

This had been for some time my favourite bar and relaxed restaurant to take friends, partner and family. Really interesting and regularly changing food, good wine and cocktail list, nice relaxed summer terrace, my favourite sofas in London and - best of all - great staff. All that so close to home added up to my favourite bar in London.... More

The restaurant is now called Bonfire and only sells burgers, chips & grilled chicken etc. The staff are as lovely as ever but I miss the Lounge, the food was great. The atmosphere isn't as relaxing and truthfully, put me in mind of Nando's. You order at the counter in a similar fashion. Food is good but not exceptional.

I am disabled and the staff are really helpful and seating super comfortable. Will accommodate wheelchairs if needed. All in all the tapas was wonderful and we went onto the theatre with no problems. Will certainly go again.

The food is a regularly changing menu of interesting small plates, Always good vegetarian choices and always a decent selection of wines. But there is so much else to like about it too: It is smack in the middle of the city, great for me as it is half way between home and office. It is always less busy than... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
