Pre booked this restaurant due to high numbers of customers. When we arrived here we was greeted downstairs by a receptionist who kindly took our jackets and radio called upstairs to a waitress, it was sort of like a military operation. We were swiftly taken to our table where we had great views of st. pauls cathedral, i must say... More

Who could want a better view than St. Paul's Cathedral? Hard to beat. We went for an early dinner and there were very few people there eating, but a small crowd in for after work drinks. Our server was helpful and engaging and the portions were quite generous. The food was absolutely amazing. The location is very convenient to the... More

Had dinner here. though very busy, I think there is no excuse to add 12 plus tables, with woodden chair in bar area, and then fully charge customers to sit in bad chair, looking to the "elite" dining in leather sofa/chairs. Atmosphere of the restaurant seems quite nice, but with 3-4 matre´d overlooking the restaurant, I´m sure they could do... More

Attended a work event here (so no insights to the cost, sorry) and had a lovely time. The vegetarian plate they prepared was delicious and well-seasoned. The dessert we also amazing. Oh, and the cocktails were very nicely made. The staff was particularly lovely, very attentive, extremely courteous and helpful. The entire team made the evening feel seamless. Overall a... More

Visited Barbecoa on Sat night, very disappointed with the food, nothing special at all given the price.... Very expensive but fantastic views.

My wife and I visited here in a Saturday night, we got there early and had a drink in the bar. The front of house was friendly and helpful so a good start. The decor is typically dark and moody as is the fashion these days it would seem. We ordered the calamari to start, for the price was a... More

As someone who has eaten steak all across USA, I am always keen to find good restaurants in London that can cook beef to the same standard. Barbecoa certainly put in a good effort but I am not convinced it was excellent. Cocktails were just OK and were small for the price. I asked if the Calamari appetizer was big... More

Awful food with an amazing view. The best thing was that we were sitting near the window. Quality and presentation of the food was just disgusting. Salad we ordered looked like the half of the cabbage thrown in the bowl and nothing really money in this salad. Absolutely unprofessional and a bit rude waitress with the short red hair reccomended... More

My friends and I looked for a quick bite for lunch. I saw Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa and dragged them into there, although I had a regret in a minute because this was not a proper place for a quick lunch. The restaurant has these windows looking directly at St.Paul which stands there spectacularly. I told the waiter that we had... More

Everyone loves this place because of the steak options. It is good and you can have a good steak here, but the pinnacle of my night was the dessert. If you visit make sure you leave room for the dessert, there are some wicked options to chose from.

Thank Edina P

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
