At St Paul's street level there is Barbacoa butcher plus shop Dish of day was pork belly baked beans coleslaw in a paper container Although people attracted to relative low cost 6£ it not worth it Portion of pork ridiculously small maybe 75 gram ? No flavor very watery beans lack flavor and coleslaw. If you want bread roll need... More

This is one of Jamie Oliver's restaurants. The food quality is good with good service but the environment was terrible. This restaurant is in a glass building and we have had some hot weather here in London over the last few weeks but the air conditioning was not working! The staff advised us it has been this way for some... More

Last Saturday we arrived at barbecoa for our dinner before heading off to see a show. As we walked in through the door we couldn't help but feel how how the restaurant was. They tried to sit us right next to the window but as it was so hot we had to ask to move as it felt like we... More

I visited Barbecoa for lunch with a colleague to celebrate some good news, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Its a smartly presented restaurant with a pleasant low-key buzz and a huge window which affords decent views of St Paul's. The food was delicious - we shared a chateaubriand and had an excellent bottle of red from... More

Our dinner here was less impressive tat our earlier experience last year here, and surprisingly less delicious that what we had at Jamie Oliver's on Harmony of the Seas Cruise. The taste of the foods were a bit bland. Hope this restaurant will do better next time.

Went with my son for a summer holiday treat. We really enjoyed it and had a nice table over looking St. Paul's Cathedral. I wouldn't say the decor is that special or memorable and bread street kitchen next door where I've been for many a working lunch is probably more impressive but the food here was decent and the rack... This place rocks! I've been a few times and tried several dishes. I've never had a bad steak from there - my favorite was the chateaubriand. Having said that, if you're going for the first time you must consider the "ribs three ways". All of the meat has been consistently tasty but in my opinion they really excel at the... More

We were there for their Wednesday wine special night which was 30% off over priced wines which started at £60. The sommelier lived up to pretentiousness stereotype and frankly delivered cooled bordeaux wine; surprise surprise a bordeaux fit well with grilled meat and the temperature made it was smoother BUT it lost its complexity (I was able to help by... Can't fault the view, we had a table overlooking St Pauls, sunny evening, spectacular view. Seating was form over function. Looked great but a pain shuffling in and out if people needed to get out. Not sure if all the tables were like this but ours was. Limited selection of beers, reasonable wine list. We had some fabulous breads with... More

Incredible food with a wonderful view and only a slight hiccup in the service. Made my practically vegan friend find his love for meat again. Make sure you try the sticky spare ribs!! FOOD We were a a group of 8 and so ordered many starters to share and then a main course each. The food was heavenly. I eat... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
