A lovely time had we we were running late but seemlessly served. Food was excellent we had the beef which just melted the chicken with a delicious source and the kalamari came with some beautiful salad. My only reservation was that there wasn't much on the kalamari plate. The bar man also made a mean dark n stormy!

Takeout from Barbecoa's outlet. I a. Regular, and it is hard to get a better lunch on the go. Aside to the restaurant itself, the lunch place does a clever selection. The hit box is the thing for me. The menu changes throughout the week but always tasty tray of gorgeous meemat, posh beans, coleslaw and pickles.

Went at 5.00pm on a week day for a pre theatre dinner. I had read issues with the air con and they were totally true. When the sun is up and warm outside the air con is not man enough. Was at least high 20's inside. Had a great table by St Pauls but the sun was to bright and... More

Been our favourite for a good few years however last weekend was our last. The view and the service are still excellent but the food really beyond acceptable. - -Chicken was pink inside! Chateaubriand was so rare it was actually raw and so was t-bone raw and inedible. Even sending it back to cook more didn't help. Chips were stale... More

I wanted a nice steak restaurant in London and this place was perfect for what we wanted! Funky setting with good view of St Pauls. I ordered the tuna ceviche as a starter which was lovely and then we shared the chateaubriand, which was VERY enjoyable! We ordered 3 sides between us but 2 would've been plenty (maybe even 1!)... Booked for the Sunday lunch through Timeout, £30 for two courses and a glass of prosecco. Staff were lovely and the views fantastic of St Pauls, but the food let itself down really. Maybe I was expecting too much from a restaurant priding itself on the meat experience- mine was ever so salty and over cooked. I cut around the... More

Went to Barbecoa for an anniversary meal with my partner. The food and service were great and we enjoyed every single thing we were served. It started brilliantly with delicious bread served with veal butter and kept up its momentum the whole way through. It wasn't cheap but the quality and quantity of food made it all worth it. We've... I hate putting negative reports, but frankly the little steak reastaurant I have reviewed in Luton is so much better at a fraction of the price. The view was unspectacular overlooking an office block. Some might get a glimpse of the side of St.Pauls. The table and chairs must have been rescued from a boys school. The waiter was exhuberent... I would have given Jamie Oliver's restaurant an excellent rating because the food is wonderful, but the service was dreadful. My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch as there were hardly 20 patrons in the restaurant, so we figured it would be a quick bite between touring various landmarks. While we really did enjoy our food, the... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
